The perfect island getaway for large families, Villa Asta has an amazing array of activities for everyone, including a games room, badminton lawn and an enormous turquoise free form swimming pool. Decorated in a striking mixture of glossy wood, natural stone and bright colour pops, it fuses modern and elegant design beautifully.

One of the most unique features of this villa is the dazzling swim-through waterfall in the 22-metre pool that curves through the lawn. You might struggle to tear yourself away to see one of Bali's many real-life cascades! Look up to the 4-metre high balé to find a perfect dive platform to plunge into the refreshing depths.

When you've finished swimming, enjoy the circular decking where sunbeds overlook the pool. However, it's not the only pool at this stunning property - the lucky guests in the master bedrooms can utilise the plunge pool on their terrace.

In the two beautiful master bedrooms, there are four-poster beds shaded by curtains or delightfully cosy king size beds. The multitude of floor to ceiling windows and doors ensure the villa is sun-soaked and airy. By the window, there is a day bed where you can admire the sweeping view of emerald rice terraces. The tropical garden ensuite bathrooms have a rain shower and luxurious marble bathtub for a relaxing soak surrounded by nature.

There's a huge amount of flexibility for sleeping capacity in this villa. Downstairs, three lovely guest bedrooms have twin beds that can be transformed into king size. Each has two further trundle beds underneath that can sleep 6 adults or 12 youngsters. In total, that means 18 guests can stay at this property, perfect for a group of families travelling together.

Surrounded by ponds full of sacred 'koi' fish. the dining room table has enough space for everyone to gather around over a delicious home-cooked meal or a feast prepared by the villa's private chef.

The games room that spans the entirety of the second floor has plenty to keep everyone entertained, from rounds of pool on the billiards table to table tennis. Furnished with comfy orange chairs and a striking blue table, the decoration is striking yet subtle. There's a home theatre with an excellent sound system and cosy benches for those who want to relax and watch a movie, while those who want to keep active will love the badminton court and volleyball lawn.

Location:

Tucked away in Batu Belig just a hop, skip and a jump from glitzy Seminyak, you really have the best of both worlds at this villa. The area is quieter and a little more under the radar, with new patisseries and yoga studios popping up all the time. Mesmerising black sand Batu Belig beach is just a ten-minute walk away - or even faster if you use bicycles available to borrow from the villa. Soak up the relaxing vibe and watch the famous sunset with a snack from a nearby cafe or local warung.

The beach is particularly family friendly and peaceful. While the waves are too strong for any serious swimming, grab a body board to ride the waves. You can watch kite flying here or if you're here in July or August, watch Bali's annual traditional kite festival.

Be sure to take advantage of the villa's private driver to visit Seminyak itself. Bali's premiere upscale beach resort, Seminyak is a playground for jet-setters, fashionistas and yogis. It's full of fashionable boutiques where you can shop til you drop and fancy spas, where you can indulge in a quintessentially Balinese massage and spend the day getting pampered. Bali is the ideal place to try out yoga. There are stunning studios dotted all around Seminyak, so grab a mat and sign up for a taster course.

One of the best perks of staying in this villa is complimentary access to nearby Finn's Recreation Club. Boasting a water park with thrilling slides popular with kids and adults alike, a state of the art gym, blissful spa, vast tennis court and boxing arena, there's something for everyone here. You'll find plenty of surf schools where you can get acquainted with the waves and learn from the professionals. From Seminyak beach, take a stroll across the golden sands all the way to Canggu or Petitenget beach. After the sun softens, hang out at one of the many alluring beach clubs for a panoramic sunset view over the Indian ocean - famous Ku De Ta and Potato Head are both nearby.

Art lovers will love the hip galleries around Seminyak, such as Biasa ArtSpace - at the forefront of contemporary Indonesian art - such as installations of brass head busts with red eyes. Hotel Tugu Bali is an interesting museum-hotel hybrid full of priceless Indonesian art and antiques. Here, there's also a fabulous award-winning spa offering traditional Eastern therapies, so it's an ideal place to spend a leisurely afternoon.

The villa is also within easy reach of Canggu and Petitenget. Magical Petitenget Beach embodies Balinese spirituality, and Pura Petitenget is a significant link in the series of temples along Bali's west coast between Pura Uluwatu and Pura Tanah Lot.

This ancient temple has twelve shrines and an impressive dragon staircase that leads to an expansive courtyard. Every evening, there are temple ceremonies on the beach and traditional dance displays - a truly mesmerising way to experience the rich culture. Bali is known as the 'Island of the Gods' and after visiting some of the enchanting temples you'll find out why.

Take a 30-minute drive to Pura Tanah Lot, a religious site perched atop a rock formation. It's believed that the temple here protects Bali from evil sea spirits. Pura Tanah Lot is also a popular spot for sunset. Soak up the experience of locals praying and admire the ocean turn to gold in the evening light.
