We enjoyed cooking and eating together.The pleasant view of the lake channel through the sliding glass doors of the dining area was especially nice. There were swans ever day that visited!The downstairs entertainment area was really comfortable with its large recliner couches.

Stayed for a nice 4 day weekend in October. Great communication from start to finish with Bertha! Very clean home on the inside. Well stocked kitchen, comfotable bed, nice family / rec room on the lower level. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of wood for the firepit. Very relaxing getaway!

Stay in Kendallville

The property was beautiful, extraordinarily rclean,and comfortable. Proximity to town was a plus. Beds comfortable. All the extras such as shampoo, dryer, coffee maker and coffee were greatly appreciated. The only suggestion is to have instructions about how to operate televisions. It was disappointing not to be able to use the TV in the basement. Many thanks for a lovely stay. The only clean, and, comfortabl. Prox.

Fantastic Getaway!

Bertha's house was even better than the photos showed! Having a split-level layout was perfect for our group - because the sleeping areas were separate from the main floor, it made it easy for people to be awake and have a space to relax even if others were sleeping. The house was immaculate and we thoroughly enjoyed our time both on the patio, in the basement (super comfy couch!) and the dining room. We would definetely say again!

Designed for comfort and pleasure

This house is spacious and lovingly maintained with new furniture and decor, and welcoming gathering spots for guests. Beds were comfortable with nice bedding. The home has a serene view of the canal and plenty of maintained lawn. We enjoyed our morning coffee outside. The TV/rec room featured modern recliner seating. The property manager was very responsive and helpful.

Fantastic Home

We had a great time! The home is lovely and had many extras including a welcoming snack tray with bottled water! The kitchen has all the utensils and some spices as well! There was an abundance of closet space. The beds were very comfortable and the basement area great for hanging out with a big group. We used the gas grill for one meal and it was in excellent condition and the propane was full. We did not use Lake Cree much as we had family staying on Skinner Lake, about 20 minutes away. Grocery, bakery and fast food are only 10 minutes away! This is a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. We would definitely stay here again as well as recommend that others stay as well!!

Nice Weekend Getaway

The inside of the house was immaculate. We had a very nice time. The bed was comfortable, The couch in the basement was very relaxing. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire. My son caught a very nice bluegill from the canal's edge.
