Family vacay!

We had a great stay. We had 3 teenage boys ages 14-17 who LOVED the downstairs game room. Host was great answered questions quickly and always helpfu. Definitely would stay here again. Driveway a lil sketchy for 2 vehicles but was do able.

Best trip ever

The hosts were amazing and communicative with our last minute booking. The cabin was cozy, and clean. The location was great! Its just far enough outside the city to enjoy nature but everything in both Gatlingsburg and Pigeon Forge was only 10-20 minutes away.

Beautiful cabin!

The Mountain View was great! The cabin is exactly as described and it was lovely to stay in. The owner responds quickly and was nice to chat with. Was a bonus to find out that each floor has its own room, living room/game room and bathrooms.

Great location and stay

Great location and place to stay with a bigger group. Beautiful view and close to town. About 15-20 min drive to most. Great communication with owner. Can fit 3 cars in the driveway.

My family enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was nice to have different floors for family members to sleep and get ready each day! It was a peaceful place to come back to after being out all day! The owner was super helpful when we had questions about the grill and other things in the home! I would recommend staying in this home!

Home away from home

We had a wonderful week at the VRBO mountain house. You could stand on the porch and see the mountains, deer (no bears...thank goodness). Everything in the house worked well, house was clean and the owner was very prompt in responding to requests. I'm glad everything that was described was legitimate.

Worked out great for our family. We had plenty of space for all of us. Enjoyed the gaming area. Unexpected cold snap brought in snow flurries on the way in so that was a first for the grandchildren.

Saddest thing having to leave

So mad at myself for booking wrong, I was so sad to not get one more day.. The place is absolutely beautiful. The location was amazing and plenty to do all around. We felt so at home and would def book this rental over and over again. My husband & I, MIL, & 4 children and plenty of room. The game room was a big hit with the kids gave them something to do when we weren’t out and about… Even had board games to play.

Very nice cabin

Very nice cabin wasnt the cleanest house on arrival but the owner said we was the first person there for the year. 2 of the 3 arcade games didn't work. Outside plugs didn't work for the grill. But very happy with the house and seemed like a very nice owner

Fantastic Family Property

The house was perfect for our needs! Lots of space, everyone could do what they wanted to do without stepping on other people's toes. The kids loved the game room! The outdoor hot tub was a big hit, and the view from the decks was amazing.

Great property and stay

Communication with the host was great! We had everything we needed for our 6 day stay. Our teenagers loved the little arcade on the bottom floor. Everything was as advertised and we loved the privacy and views. Driveway was steep as warned but our minivan had no issues. It was a great location to get to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Cades Cove.

Dancing Bear was Dancing

Excellent location. Our goal was to stay outside Piegon Forge and Gatlinburg this season. The cabin was the right fit for our family of nine - three great grandchildren, two children and their spouse. The grand children and children really enjoyed the arcade in the basement. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Just like being at home. The parking was a little difficult with three vehicles but we were able to make it work. Thanks for the memories!

Great time in pigeon forge

Nice retreat with easy access to lots of fun: hiking shows rides etc. Definitely try Goats on the Roof. Great hot tub, super comfy. Fun game room enjoyed by all. Kids were surprised by the taxidermy 😉

Cozy and charming

My family truly enjoyed our experience in renting this cabin. Bill was very helpful and checked in with us which was greatly appreciated. My kids absolutely adored staying here. Close enough to everything, but yet you still feel like you have plenty of seclusion and breathing space. We would definitely reserve this cabin again.

Outstanding Time at Dancing Bear

We just got home from one of the best weeks we have ever spent as a family. Dancing Bear Cabin was perfect for us. It was on 3 levels and allowed kids and adults to interact without disturbing others. The games were so much fun and the porches were relaxing. We were able to save $'s by cooking most of our own meals. It was a trip of a lifetime for our family.

Average Stay

The interior pictures of the cabin are bright and airy and the exterior pictures lead you to believe the cabin is tucked away on a hillside high in the mountains. The interior was actually dark and the decor was dated with all manner of taxidermy and 1980s wallpaper. The cabin is located in a pod of 3 cabins, at the bottom of a steep driveway with just enough room for two cars and not on a mountaintop overlooking the valley. Be aware that you enter and exit the cabin through the master bedroom which is not for the bashful. This cabin is in Wears Valley, about a 20-30 minute drive over a mountain in either direction to activities in Pigeon Forge or Townsend. The cabin was okay, just average, and not what we’re accustomed to at the price we paid.

Beautiful cabin and great views!

The cabin was a great fit for our family. Our kids had their own space, but the house also provided opportunity for some great pool and video game battles. The kitchen was full supplied with everything we needed to cook multiple meals per day. We got lots of use out of the dishwasher! The view was gorgeous. We started our mornings on the porch swinging enjoying the view, and our nights ended looking at the stars while in the hot tub. House had everything and more!than we had hope for. Highly recommend for families. We will definitely be staying there again. Owners were great to work with and very responsive. Really appreciate the phone call explaining how to get to the cabin. Also the welcome guide in the house provided some great recommendations for the dinners we ate out. If you thinking about renting a cabin, don’t pass this one up!!!
