WE DID HAVE MINOR MAINTENANCE ISSUES BUT THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT RIGHT AWAY TO FIX IT. OUR ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE MASTER MATTRESSE ARE VERY WORN OUT AND NEED UPDATED. OTHER THAN THAT WE HAD A REAT TIME..CLOSE TO TOWN AND EASY TO GET IN AND OUT.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Maintenance was a little lacking. Hot tub was only a warm tub, mixing out at 99 degrees. Warped and split decking is a trip hazard and potential for more serious foot injuries Ceiling fan in main room makes a noise like a bad bearing, Had to turn it off. Garbage bins outside never emptied in two weeks. Dryer ran for hours for a few towels. Not enough supplies for 2 weeks, garbage bags, soaps and detergents.

Reviewer Comments: I booked The Big Thunder cabin for my family and let me say it wasn't my usual Stay .All of the best mattresses were outdated .One side wore out so bad my husband kept rolling down to my side .We woke up everyday to back pains along with other members of my family .Ask maker wasn't working .Hair on sheets when my sister was getting on her bed .Remotes had big blue electric tape on the back of them .I must day the maintenance guy brought my sister fresh sheets .He came to look at the ice maker and said it was on and cut it on but it went out again so we just bought ice Power went our on one side of home but thankfully maintenance guy was their fo help .The powered ceiling fan in the downstairs queen bedroom didn't work and we were told the remote was broke and had to be ordered .I asked for just a portion of a refund or a discount on another cabin but was asically told no .Because my family was there we just made the best of our time together. IVE never stayed at wild briar always elks property so this was not the norm for me

We had great space and storage for all of our groceries and clothing etc. It's 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms and two half baths. Two kitchens! We loved the views and easy directions into the mountain. A++++ rating!

For a small family reunion this was the perfect size! Men would go downstairs to watch world cup while all thegirls were upstairs making lunch and talking. We did have a few maintenance issues but the staff came by the same day to fix them. We allccan't wait to come back!

Cabin was clean and beautiful . Also sleeper sofa need soft cushion so who ever sleep in that has good sleep. One more thing u have to put list of kitchen appliance in PDF file so, group know what to bring and what not ?!!!! Maintainenc people came on timely fashion and fix it quickly .Overall great place 'mmm$$$

Beautiful Cabin & Vies

It was secluded yet not isolated. The layout was great and the technology as far as the stereo and theater was really good.The cabin could have been cleaner (found previous renter's garbage in bathroom garbage bins and the floors did not appear to have been cleaned in ages) so housekeeping could have done a MUCH better job and a few minor repairs (dishwasher almost falls out on the floor when loaded as not nailed into the countertop) and door lock and window blind issues, but nothing major. Really needs just a little TLC in cleaning and minor, minor repairs. Overall, it was great and we would recommend and return!

Our new favorite location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin worked perfectly for us. Location was convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin was spacious and large with excellent views. We preferred this location to previous stays. Really good value and the Elks Lodge Resort team very attentive. A few of the excellent features of this cabin: Every bedroom with a private bath. Two master suites. Two full kitchens. Two living areas. Downstairs bedrooms that open onto deck, two beautiful decks, also. Pool table and video game. A fully equipped cabin like this allows you to cook meals, have breakfast before daily adventures or pack a picnic for rides into the Great Smoky Mountain Park... that saves you real money. Cabin is close to Roaring Forks Motor Trail and Dollywood. Grocery stores available nearby without having to deal with downtown Pigeon Forge traffic. The cabin was clean and other than a couple very minor maintenance issues, we will definitely see if this cabin is available next time we are in the area. We stayed with a group of Australian friends who had never been to Smoky Mountais... they said this cabin was their favorite stay of our entire 6 week trip through Tennessee, Georgia and Mississippi. We are already trying to schedule a large family gathering at this cabin in the Fall. Thank you for an excellent vacation stay.

We Didn't Want to Leave!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the Big Thunder Lodge for 3 nights. The photos on the Internet while beautiful do not give this cabin justice. It was absolutely beautiful. We had 10 guests and were more than comfortable. The view is awesome and the king suites on the main level are like honeymoon suites. Loved the 2 kitchens and the 2 living rooms. It also has 2 decks with plenty of chairs.The king suites on main level open up to the upper balcony and the 2 queen suites on the lower level open up to the lower deck. The resort staff were very accommodating and friendly. We did have an issue with the air conditioning on the lower level and they had to replace the motor will definitely be back. The only bad part of our stay is that we had to leave.

Fun with Friends

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We vacation with 12 people and it is hard to find a nice place that will hold all of us without having to sleep in bunks or twin beds. Big Thunder Lodge was perfect for our group. We were able to cook several great meals, enjoy the hot tub, watch movies, play cards and pool. Having the 2 kitchens available was great as we had lots of food and drink to serve 12 people. We will definitely come back to Big Thunder. We made a lot of memories with our friends. THe location of the lodge was convenient to get to Gatlinburg and in to Pigeon Forge.
