The check in at the main area was very easy. The room was spacious and homey. The bathroom floors were heated and the shower was amazing. We really liked the small feel of the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t included but was reasonably priced and delicious!
Hotel property is set among several buildings separate from check-in. Plenty of parking and easily and conveniently walkable to restaurants, grocery and shops. The rooms are amazing curated with cool furniture! Excellent place to stay!
We had a beautifully decorated and lovely room and bath in the old Bank building. Heated floor in the bathroom, great shower, great bed! Room was spacious. Also enjoyed an excellent dinner! Amazing little spot in Iceland. What a treat!
- Hotel in the center with friendly staff
- small but nice and clean hotel rooms
- little storage space for suitcases
- very fine and fresh breakfast buffet
- would stay here again
We had a great stay here! The room was recently refurbished and was really nice. Check-in and out was really easy (self service) and we had an amazing dinner and fantastic breakfast in the restaurant (a separate building to the rooms). The staff at dinner and breakfast were efficient and friendly too. It’s located in a cute little village with stunning scenery. Would recommend a night or two here!
We enjoyed this hotel and the area. Self check in as this property is one of three and there’s a central office. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was not included but was available at the main hotel of this brand (one brand, 3 hotel houses). Breakfast was pretty expensive relative to other Iceland hotels. We would stay at this property again.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the property. Town was amazing and drive in and out was spectacular. Property was clean, comfortable and as expected. Dinner was great.
The hotel is located in the center of the town. They have serval buildings in the town, and you would receive information about which building you would stay. They have a restaurant to offer delicious local food.
Lovely hotel. Great staff there was a problem with our room and staff were amazing. Moved us to apartment at no extra cost and offered us free breakfast. Fabulous food at the hotel restaurant one of our best meals in Iceland. Very special town not to be missed.
The property was quaint as a remodeled bank and comfortable with easy walking access around the town. The room was very clean but a bit constricted with the two very narrow beds. There was a bit of noise as others in the hotel closed doors but otherwise was a very quiet and comfortable stay.
Nice property and comfortable room, though it was very hot on arrival and we needed to leave a large window open for some hours. TBH, no fault of the hotel, we were underwhelmed by the town.
Cool, slightly spooky (but added to the fun of it) hotel property. Comfortable.
Seydisfjordur is stunning, although slightly spoilt when the hordes of cruise ship passengers arrive in the village.
Nice hotel; very friendly/helpful staff, very clean, generously sized room, good food. Building was cold and couldn’t really get the room warm all night. Town is very small, very limited options outside of hotel.

Attractive refurbished properties. Super position. Great dinner, adequate if uninspired buffet breakfast.BankHouse bathroom needs an upgrade (cracked sink!)
Doors slam shut and you can hear every conversation if guests decide to talk in the hallway or foyer. Hard to sleep due to these reasons. Rooms are cute and clean and the location is great but if you are not a sound sleeper, probably not the best choice.
Hotel is a historic building. Room is in good size.
When we arrived (5pm), there was no one at the reception area. We had to make an international call in front of the building. Good thing is the receptionist arrived quickly.
