“We are waiting for the transfer company to take us back to the Cancun airport. Had a great time. The king deluxe room fit our needs well. Didn't stay in the room much since discovering the island was so much fun and lots to do. A golf cart was necessary for our adventures. Room was cleaned every day, breakfast was yummy, and we slept like babies. The roof top dipping pool and sunning area was cool. Beach access across the road was nice, too. Always a cool breeze that helped beat the heat during……

“While the property had great possibility, sadly the entire stay felt disjointed due to the way things are run. Example- rooftop pool that has no food/bar available…even though there is a restaurant on the rooftop. The hotel advertised that the rooftop bar was open at 3pm, yet we never saw any staff there until the restaurant prepped to open. The staff seemed undertrained and consistently put into circumstances where they were unsure of how to fulfill a request. Again, while the property was……

“The Mayan Monkey is a very attractive place located in the South of Isla Mujeres. It is very quiet, right on the ocean, but located far from nightlife and restaurants. A city bus or taxi can take you to the more active north part of the island. We paid for an included breakfast for 3 days. On the first day the service took more than an hour and the eggs we ordered over medium came back as sunny side up. The second day the eggs came back over hard. The third day we tried to cancel the breakfast……

“I stayed at Izla Hotel last year with a friend. We had an amazing time and no complaints. This year I went with some other people, hoping we would get the same experience. We did the all-inclusive and enjoyed all of the food and drink drinks that we had. The staff were lovely, especially the bartenders. They really went out of their way to get to know us and make sure that we had a great time. The beds were comfortable and we slept well ”

“If you are looking for a place with a great view, very good air conditioning, comfy bed, great food, awesome pool and super close to the ferry dock, look no further. The supplied coffee every day was a bonus. ”

“Good position with excellent staff and good choice of restaurants. The only negative was finding ourselves in a room with an adjoining door to an extremely noisy group of other guests. Fortunately this only impacted us on the last day but was it was pretty dreadful and stopped us sleeping. If you’re a couple I would make sure you are not put into one of these rooms. If I were the hotel I wouldn’t put multiple party people in such a room where the only soundproofing is a thin wooden……
