“We enjoyed our stay at Bella Mar! We stayed in room #1 by the pool. The AC was cold and the room was clean. The views are beautiful. You have full use of the outdoor kitchen and the full size refrigerator is shared by all 6 rooms. Plenty of space for drinks etc. Caribbean Garden next door was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Another coffee shop is in the same area that looked good, but we didn't get anything there. Mango Cafe and Rosa Serenas are both within walking distance. Would……

“Wonderful family stay at Casa Azul Maya! We did have a ground floor room which was a bit more humid - but the AC kept it cool and it was fine for all of us. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful and room was cleaned everyday with fresh bath and beach towels as needed. The partnership with Loretta’s was perfect; amazing breakfasts, access to pool and ocean were picturesque. South side of the island is much calmer and slower pace -with great food, coffee and Punta Sur—- we’d come back in a heart……

The woman checking people in couldn’t speak any English and upon arrival their credit card machine wasn’t working. It took us over 45 minutes waiting for her to troubleshoot the problem before she let us into the room. She also requested a deposit of $1000 in pesos or some form of identification to keep throughout our stay. We had just arrived and hadn’t obtained funds, so I was forced to give her my……

“While the room itself was nice....the location is terrible. There is a view of the ocean, but it's across the street...so it's an ocean view but not ocean front. There is a gas station right beside the room...constant lines of traffic. there is a speed bump right in front, so all vehicles slow down. Two bright street lights shining into the room all night. I would certainly not recommend and def would not stay there again.”

“This hotel is wonderful. So cute and homey with a beautiful garden and great beach. The rooms are large and have good air conditioning. The hotel includes a hearty and tasty breakfast at Loretta’s Restaurant and Beach resort and access to their beach. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The beach has nice sand, good swimming area, snorkels and kayaks. The food there is excellent. We did not even go anywhere else during our 5 day stay! It is within walking distance of Punta Sur and many……
