“The photos online are not representative of present condition of the property. Tub backed up terribly. Carpet and seating area had major stains. Bedding looked like it might not have been changed, after last room rental. There were several hairs in the bedding when pulling back sheets. Luckily, there was a second bed that seemed better. Add to that, the towels were clearly years old. One had a hole and loose threads hanging off of it. Overall, even for a budget motel, very underwhelming.……

“The property was beautiful! The room was updated and the bed was comfortable. The floors creaked at night when the people in the room above us came in late but that was the only issue. They only had a very light continental breakfast and no hot items but there was a good variety and some delightful Danish. We ate there one morning and chose to eat out the next morning for a full breakfast. Very nice and very friendly service!”

“The view from the balcony of our lakefront room was lovely. Unfortunately the balcony had not been cleaned - a few pieces of trash but the a/c unit about 6” from the chairs were covered in bugs. Hard to keep it clean with the nearby water but this was there when we arrived. The room was recently renovated and was lovely. We liked the location and had a great time in the area. We ate at the restaurant the last evening and enjoyed our food.”

“The room I booked is a lake view room. The view of the room is very good and the room is big enough, BUT,,,,, The blanket on the bed may NOT have been changed for a long time. The very bad smell made me unable to sleep all night. I strongly suggest that the management can quickly check every room, don't let this problem affect the reputation of the Hamptom Inn.”

“This place is a hidden gem. Cabins are always immaculate. Staff is always responsive. Beautiful property, steep hill to walk back up if you decide to venture down to see the water. Better to park as to not have to walk back up. Close to wineries and breweries. Have stayed here multiple times with no issues.”

“We really enjoyed our quiet relaxed experience. The insight restaurant was delicious and the blazing Firepit overlooking the lake was perfect. Our room was comfortable and the staff very helpful.”

“Staff was friendly, parking was easy, and the room was clean and cool thanks to the AC. Other than that though, there wasn't much to this hotel. No patio or outdoor area to sit and relax, no restaurant, and the lobby area was small and not very inviting. The bathroom really needs shades, the sun was coming in hot and bright first thing in the morning in our east facing room.”

“Amazing B and B!!! Rebecca and Charles are the ultimate hosts. We had a wonderful stay in the cabin Casa Azul. Perfect one bedroom with a small porch. We enjoyed morning coffee on our porch every day over looking the fields. The breakfasts we had every day were absolutely fantastic. Home cooked meals with a variety of homemade jams. The fresh squeezed grape juice made with a variety of grapes was amazing as was the homemade apple cinnamon syrup for the French toast bake. Can’t say enough about……

“Very nice room - clean and comfortable; very homey. Breakfast was fantastic - choices for people of all tastes. Staff were wonderful; made us feel like we were visiting family.”

The sunsets are truly incredible, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The front yard has a lot of charm and potential, though the grass was noticeably overgrown during my stay. The experience itself was unusual. I was greeted briefly by someone who handed me the key, but after that I didn’t see a single staff member, and there’s no real reception……
