A lovely hotel , conveniently located not far from the Abbey and shops etc. Staff were very helpful at all times and the breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We took our dog and they accommodated him really well. A great stay
Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous garden area. Breakfast was excellent and Sherborne itself - just a couple of minutes’ walk away - is definitely worth a visit.
Lovely time at The Eastbury : very comfortable Gorgeous garden with croquet, ping pong, badminton and chess.
Breakfast was generous and yummy!
Staff were attentive and helpful
Despite the changeable weather we had a great time.
Sherborne is beautiful! Definitely going back ....
Hotel was most welcoming and staff were friendly, room was beautiful and very clean. Sadly the restaurant was only open for breakfast, which was faultless. Overall fabulous stay, great location
Loved the hotel. Loved the location. Staff were lovely and very obliging. Breakfast was extremely good, it was just a shame that the restaurant is closed at present but lots of places to eat within walking distance. We are looking forward to going back in 3 weeks time for another 2 night stay.
Comfortable and well situated. Catering staff to be commended on bringing forward breakfast for us on the Sunday - we had a choral commitment at the Abbey
It is a true gem of a hotel. Beautiful buildings, both old and new, and a magical garden. Two residents lounges plus a library with pool/snooker table. Reception were efficient and friendly, and the room exceeded our expectations, with wonderful attention to details. I am not a breakfast lover, but there was plenty of xhoice, and frankly the best hotel breakfast I have ever sampled. The situation of the hotel made it easy to walk to the old castle, and Sherborne itself is picturesque and full of history. A wonderful break for us both, and Bruce the dog.
Really friendly helpful staff. Spacious room with nice little extras. The sloe Gin was a nice touch. Decor was slightly tired, but overall good condition and water pressure to the shower strong. Beautiful garden and if we had more time we would have booked the spa too as it looked lovely Very tasty breakfast with a lot of choices.
The only thing we were sad about was the fact that the restaurant was not available for food in the evening, nor was the bar, although we were able to order drinks at reception until 7pm (and pre-order if we wanted wine after that.
Rooms are very clean and well designed. Except the shower door was difficult to open and close, there was no bar open and no restaurant and this made the hotel feel as though it wasn’t thriving. Breakfast was good except dogs are allowed in the breakfast room. This makes the place feel dirty. This hotel is a mixed bag, some good things and then some poor features . !
This was an absolute gem of a retreat. I was on a choir visit at The Abbey and needed to get there and back quickly between rehearsals and services and the place was just gorgeous. Beautifulmbig bedroom with all those little touches and sweet garden. Staff really helpful about leaving the car there after checkout and having a friend over for coffee. Breakfast was incredible…I want to come back!!!

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was as always exceptional. Unfortunately, the room we were given seemed to have none of the usual extra touches e.g. complimentary sloe gin, tissues, shower cap, etc and there was no phone in our room on the third floor. So, when our shower didn't work and made a dreadful noise, we had to walk downstairs to report to staff. We were immediately re-roomed into one of the garden pods, not ideal, but the shower worked. We were greatly inconvenienced and had to rush out to our dinner booking. No compensation was offered. Perhaps we were too accommodating. This used to be one of my favourite hotels, but sadly no more.

Booked the hotel for my father. He said everything was excellent, all staff really friendly. The breakfasts incredible, especially the fresh orange juice! The room was spacious with everything they needed.
Jasmine room was clean and very pretty!
Staff were so friendly and helpful.
Great location, as very near the shops, so just a walk to the end of the road.
Breakfast was fantastic. Everything you could want in a buffet. They also have a menu for hot breakfasts, such as the traditional fry up, pancakes with maple syrup, crispy bacon and blueberries. We had both and it was delicious. You won’t leave hungry!! Highly recommend this hotel. A real little gem!
