“The house was perfectly situated for me to explore areas in and around Hickory. Quick and easy 5 minute drive to Hickory Lake Park to walk my dog and ride my bike on the off-road trails. 20 minute drive to Bakers Park and Riverbend Park for more trail walking. House was pleasantly cooled with a/c, ceiling fans above the bed, and the mattress comfortable provided for a great nights sleep. ”

“Our stay at Mallard Cottage was lovely. The lake was quiet, which made for such a relaxing stay. We were able to launch our kayaks, and paddle boards so easily. The kids could launch the kayaks on their own. The cottage looked just like the pictures in the listing. We had everything we needed, and more. The hosts we so kind, and quick to respond. “This rental was just as described. It was very cute clean and cozy. The couple hosting the rental were very friendly and we enjoyed visiting the farm. Kevin, Hamlet and the dogs were fantastic. We came to town for a fundraiser and for the NASCAR race. We certainly could have stayed closer to Concord but this was a lovely place to stay and really not too far away. The setting made it well worth the few extra miles to drive to the race and other events near Concord. We look forward to our……

“Our family had a great time at the Heron's Cove Cottage, this was our second visit. The house is perfect for our family of 6, clean and has a beautiful view of the Sandbar. The Sandbar Marina and Grill is close by and the house is close to many restaurants and grocery stores. Highly recommend. ”

It was clean, spacious and had an amazing deck that we utilized every morning, while drinking our coffee. The entire area was shaded with beautiful trees that also provides privacy and the yard was perfect for night fishing and relaxing in the hammock.
