We booked this hotel as a family wedding was being held here.
Upon arrival, we went to check in but our room was not ready. Not an issue as we were a little early.
Once our room was ready, we checked in. We had to pay £25 per person ‘holding fee’ which could be used to pay for drinks and charged to the room. If there was an open balance left, it would be refunded. The issue here was that one receptionist said it was mandatory yet the other receptionist did not charge this fee.
The room itself was great. Very spacious. Had a fridge under the TV which was great so we could keep drinks cool.
The bathroom had a walk in shower which overflowed onto the floor. It was not great as the tiles were slippery anyway, let alone when it was soaked.
The beds were soft and comfortable and we had a great night sleep. There was a fan, safe, ironing board in the wardrobe and a tea tray under the TV.
The phone in the room did not seem to work and there was no welcome information for the hotel which made it quite difficult to get assistance if needed.
Overall, it was a lovely hotel. Not quite worth the price we paid, especially as the pool and Jacuzzi were closed. Would I stay again, possibly if the facilities were all open
