We had an absolutely amazing stay! The property is gorgeous, even better than the photos and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Our host was incredibly sweet and made us feel like part of the family from start to finish. She even left a thoughtful welcome basket with breakfast essentials, which was such a nice touch. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we’d love to come back again someday!

Enchanting Getaway

Where to begin, it’s truly an amazing experience and quite lovely. The Freddi family has done an incredible job restoring this property with all necessary amenities you are immersed in the true Tuscan countryside in absolute comfort and charm. perfect stay!

the property is stunning and hosts were incredibly kind. we did a wine tour and cooking class with marcello which was the best part! i would recommend to anyone visiting val d’orcia and hope to come back soon

A must stay kinda place. Great central location. Beautiful views. Great hosts. You’d be foolish to go to Tuscany and not stay here. Highly recommended.

This is what Tuscany look like!!

We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very friendly and even gave us a map of the local area, with highlighted towns to visit. We also had an olive oil tasting with their son and learned all about how it’s made and why it tastes different each year. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Tuscany

An absolutely beautiful place to stay in Tuscany. Very peaceful and quiet with views over the countryside that are stunning. Montalcino, Pienza and Muntepulciano are close and Siena is less than an hour drive. Silvana and Freddi were superb hosts and take great pride in what they've created. A must place to stay in Tuscany.

Beautiful, peaceful, great location

We arrived from Siena and were stunned by the beauty of this property. Everything is so well maintained, thoughtfully planned and equipped. Perfectly positioned for sightseeing, I would recommend booking in for at least a week as a base. Gorgeous pool (unheated). Lots of apartments to choose from, ours had a washing machine. Stock up at the Co-op in the local town. No restaurant but everything you need to cook is in your apartment. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. Didn't want to leave 😍

Fantastic stay at a wonderful farmhouse in the Tuscan Hills

Our recent stay at Podere Cunina can only be characterized as fantastic. The owner and her family are wonderful hosts and very helpful in advising guests where to go and what to see. The hilltop villages of Tuscany are very close. The property is very picturesque and tranquil. Looking out of our apartment's windows one could see the beauty of the Tuscan hills. Just great for taking a minute to enjoy a cup of coffee before going out to explore the great wines and food of the region. Buonconvento

Our hosts were helpful and easy to communicate with. We arrived without some supplies and it was a Sunday so stores were closed and they brought us some supplies so we could make dinner and coffee. Very nice! The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The farmhouse is a few km out of the town but easy to get to and the town had a grocery store with everything you need and a number of restaurants. We traveled easily to other towns to explore and had lovely walks in the surrounding countryside. I would recommend this property!

Wonderful stay at Podere Cunina

My husband and I liked this property and the owners so much that we really hated to leave. The owners are warm and welcoming. They provided us with information about local things to do, where to buy groceries and find good restaurants, how to operate all the appliances, and really made us feel at home. Giorgio told us about the property and all the flowers, and Vanna gave us the history of Pisa, the next place were going to visit! The property itself is gorgeous, set in beautiful rolling Tuscan countryside. Our guidebook told us where to see the top Tuscan views, and we went to see a few, but then realized that we had even better views right from our apartment windows! We had such a wonderful time that we plan on returning again!

A genuine Tuscan experience

After a couple of weeks of visiting wonderful Italian cities we ended our vacation with 5 nights at Podere Cunina. It turns out we clearly saved the best for last! We wanted a quiet, less hectic time after Rome, Florence and Venice. We got that and so much more. A friend and I stayed in the Vitis apartment with a covered patio, twin bedroom, bath and laundry downstairs and a huge kitchen, dinning, living space upstairs. The views from our windows simple took my breath away every morning. And very little can match watching the sunset from the patio with a bottle of local wine and cheese. This is the true Tuscan experience I had always imagined. In addition, the family is so warm and welcoming it felt like we were staying with old friends. We had a car which allowed easy daily forays to nearby towns (Montepulciano, Montalcino, Piensa and Buonconvento). Directions, suggestions for places to visit, restaurants and wineries provided by the Freddi’s were excellent and really enhanced our stay. I only wished we had planned more time there. Next time I would add a cooking class, a wine tour or other outing with Marcello (who is soon to achieve the Master Sommelier level). Five nights was definitely not enough in this magical area!.

Exceeded all expectations

Our 5 night stay at Podere Cunina was exceptional. The property was an incomparable experience of a Tuscan Agritourissmo. The renovations on the property shows such a high level of craftsmanship, and the appointment of our apartment was spot on. The beds, the linens, the towels, bathrooms, kitchen utensils, refrigerator, stove, all perfect. Each guest room contains a beautiful binder with information about the area, history, “house rules” helpful hints in 4 languages. The decor of each apartment is styled with interesting photos, artwork, and architectural pieces from the time of construction. I think there are roughly 8 apartments in total at Cunina. Each has its own outdoor space as well. While the venue was full each night of our stay, we never even sensed there were other guests. And an afternoon lounge by the pool was enhanced even more by the absolute cleanliness of the immediate area as well as its picturesque setting Our hostess Silvana went above and beyond to schedule a cooking class for us when our previously class was cancelled. Similarly she assisted in navigating the website to purchase Duomo tour in Siena. Always available to happily assist Our host Piergeorgio was a delightful wealth of information on history, wine, and the flora of the immediate landscape. He is responsible for the property’s beautiful greenery. He even assisted in finding some lemon verbena for a home brewed tea. Hope to return one day

The worst oven appartement

This appartement DOSENT have the a/c. The owner expleined to us that its a goethermal system and that that the ac comes from the ground. Appartment is at second floors so you can imagine that there is not alot of fresh that comes up!This is false or not working proprely. It was 48 outside when we came and at leat 30-35 inside. There is no have wind even if you open windows so you feel trap inside this rockhouse because no circulation. Worst night of trip , we booked that appartment because there was ac. We have a 10 months baby that isnt use to sleep in those heavy warm temperature. Result? We did 2h drive to go there to realise its impossible to breath inside. I needed to make my baby take a cold shower middle of the night because i was afraid for her life,as she was coughing and choking every 1h as i was not able to breathe there either because of the warm. We left in the morning even if we had 3 nights books. It was impossible to live inside that house. The owner looks sorry but never propose to re embourse as her annonce was FALSE. It should be illigal to say you have ac when you dont. Babys need a fresh place to stay when its 50 outside!! We lost 600 euros ! I dont found its fare!!VERY VERY VERY DESAPPOINTTED.

Podere Cunina and its hosts, Silvana, Giorgio, and their son Marcello, are such a gem! Their recommendations for the scenic route through the Crete Senesi, the civita of Bagnoregio, and the thermal pools at Hotel Posta Marcucci were spot on. Our wine tour and cooking class with Marcello were relaxing and very informative...two highlights of our stay. The Pinus villa was a very comfortable, clean, and well equipped home base for our day trips around the area. And the views...beauty everywhere we turned! I highly recommend staying at Podere Cunina. It's a peaceful oasis of quiet and la dolce vita where you have all the privacy you want but also become part of Silvana and Giorgio's family by the end of your stay.

Unforgettable stay at this exceptionally charming Tuscan farm house

I am so glad I found this exceptionally charming farm house in the heart of Tuscany, and we really wish we could stay longer, and do more things together with the lovely hosts. The farm house offers all the modern comfort and convenience to all guests, while fills with unique details of a traditional Tuscan farm building. Thanks again, Silvana and Marcello for making our short stay absolutely memorable. We simply look forward to our next Tuscany trip!

Silvana was the most gracious host, greeting us upon our arrival, showing us to our apartment, and ensuring we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The room was impeccable and well equipped. The grounds are simply stunning. The location is perfect for hitting some of Tuscany's finest wineries and other attractions. Highly recommend.

Perfetto!

Initially planned to come for four days and ended up staying two weeks. The location is fantastic, as some of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany are within a short drive. The apartments in the house are spacious and lovely (I ended up staying in three over the course of my holiday), and the views are amazing. Finally, Silvana, Piergiorgio, and Marcello are fantastic hosts who are extremely knowledgeable about the area and filled with great suggestions on where to go and what to do. I could not have been happier with my experience, and look forward to returning in the fall. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Amazing!

Truly, "under the Tuscan sun", this stunning property has a 360 degree view of the rolling Tuscan countryside...you cannot stop gazing in amazement! The apartment is warm and lovely, complete with intimate touches that make one feel at home. Silvanna and Giorgio are fabulous hosts, so very warm and loving, making you feel relaxed...it's hard not to be relaxed here!! We did a few day trips...Siena, Montalcino, had a few swims in the pool, and enjoyed some local brunello, salamis and cheeses. We were so fortunate that they were harvesting the olives, and Marcello and Giorgio were most gracious in explaining the whole process and my husband had a chance to "shake down a tree"...I cannot say enough about this property...it was difficult to leave...both Silvanna and I had a little tear! Thank you Silvanna for your warm hospitality and sharing your magnificent home with us!

Truly Spectacular Place

Silvana and Piergiorgio's Agriturismo is one of a kind. The views were absolutely breathtaking, the apartment was spacious and private, and the pool was really lovely. Silvana and Piergiorgio were incredibly kind and genuine hosts, and were extremely helpful with answering our questions and providing recommendations for the area. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The property is gorgeous and overall is a truly special special place run by wonderful people. It is the kind of spot that you will never want to leave. We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful stay at Podere Cunina!

We had the most wonderful and relaxing stay at Podere Cunina in beautiful Tuscany after a couple of days in Florence. We cannot say enough about the owners, Silvana and Giorgio, and their son, Marcello. They are the most kind, generous and gracious hosts, available at all times to answer questions or offer assistance, but never intrusive. Their lovely restored farmhouse is very clean, comfortable and exceeded our expectations, but the scenery and views that surround their property are the most spectacular and beyond words! It is truly one of the most beautiful places on Earth. We watched gorgeous sunsets every evening. We did a cooking class and wine tour with Marcello, and I definitely recommend both! The cooking class was fun and educational, but enjoying the delicious meal with the family was best. Our wine tour was excellent, visiting 3 very different wineries in Montalcino and Montepulciano, learning about their wines and production, and tasting them, of course! Marcello is a very knowledgeable and gracious tour guide, and he included a quick stop in Pienza for more amazing views, and one at a local cheese shop. Podere Cunina is just a few minutes from the town of Buonconvento, where we enjoyed tasty, traditional Tuscan meals at two friendly, local restaurants, Da Mario and La Porta di Sotto. There is also a nice grocery store for anything you may need. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place with easy access to other towns, stunning views and wonderful hosts, look no further! If we ever get the chance to return to Tuscany, we will definitely stay at Podere Cunina!

!PEACE!dream house,kind people, amazing setting...

This place is simply a true WONDER! The owners are soooo friendly, helpful! Well prepared for everything and doing everything with full of their heart. Their house is amazing, full-equipped and with a breath-taking view!! Mama&Papa are lovely and we had a very warm welcome! Marcello, Oh He is amazing :) he is professional&friendly&has a great sense of humour&helpful&flexible&everything he does is excellent! Their oil is just WOOOW!:) and they also ship ;) We spent just 3 days there but will never ever forget it! We had the chance to cook together with Marcello and ate it together with his family! It was sooo nice :) I cannot Thank enough for everything they gave us:) for our heart and for my children :) Hugs Félix, Filipp, Bogi, Erwin & Benedetta
