“Simply charming. Located just a block from the Old Town and surrounded by medieval buildings, churches, and towers. Everything was perfect; the breakfast was delicious and made to order. The fruit, bread, and jams were fresh—no preservatives or pre-packaged products. The person in charge of the kitchen was very kind and attentive. The rooms were lovely, featuring antique furniture, and ours offered incredible views of the Tuscan landscape. We were treated like royalty. Furthermore, the location……

“The property is now under new ownership and it’s so upsetting because the views are absolutely breathtaking but housekeeping is only done upon request and even when you request it they leave the room service dishes in the middle of the table and do t replace your towels. We had to arrange our own taxis and handle our own luggage. This property has a long way to go in the hospitality industry if they’re going to succeed!”

“Our fist time experience with a castle hotel is pleasant. We arrived at a rainy day and thus a bit of difficulties in lifting our heavy luggage to the reception - you have to walk a few wet and muddy stone steps from the parking place. Despite that, everything else of our accommodation is nice. The heating is also well functioned considering most other hotels or agriturismo do not offer heating in late April. It is worth mentioning that the breakfast offers a lot of choices. Besides we found……

“Small family-owned inn located in center of Civitella in Val di Chiana. Room was comfortable and included all we needed. It was cold upon check-in which the co-owner tried to remedy with a space heater. It took a while. The room warmed up after the first night. The other co-owner kindly offered me our first night complimentary. (Thank you again.). The breakfast was simple and included fruit, juice, yogurt, sliced cheese and cold cut, packages sweets, tea, coffee and water. The owners were……
