"This pet-friendly little motel in farming country was nice enough, but a bit overpriced for its very basic facility. It was clean and comfortable (bed and 2 easy chairs) but because it’s “operated remotely,” there was no place to ask for any needed items—like cups for water! (The basic room doesn’t include a hairdryer or a coffeemaker, like an upgraded room would.)
The worst thing was that outside, due to fresh manure, the air was RANK, but I’m sure that’s only for a few days a year.
I’d stay again, though."
"The property was absolutely beautiful and the host was incredibly kind and communicative. There was plenty of space for our group and we had a great time. We’ve all stayed at a lot of these types of properties and really appreciate things like the tap specifically for drinking water and quality cooking utensils in the kitchen. We did run into a few issues with things like ants, not having more than one baking sheet for the oven, and amenities like the jacuzzi, cold plunge, and sauna not being cleaned or prepped before arrival. Directions for shocking the jacuzzi were left and video instructions to turn on the fire place were provided, but should be taken care of. Our biggest gripes were the terribly hard and cheap mattresses and the fabric cleaners used—one person had an allergic reaction and another had an asthma attack because of the detergents used. Aside from that, you can tell the host takes care of the property fairly well and being outside is wonderful. And even when it’s raining—which it did most of the time we were there—there’s plenty to do to keep busy and entertained. Also, the bison became the mascot for the weekend lol."
Waterfront lake cottage on gorgeous Clark Lake in Jackson! 4 bedrooms, sleeps 10
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay in Kevin‘s home. The cottage is adorable, very well stocked with everything we could have ever needed, and was perfect for a weekend getaway on the lake. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and took great care of us! Cannot recommend this place enough."
Cozy 3BR lakefront cottage with hot tub perfect for families w/ private dock.
10/10 Excellent
"Great location and super friendly host. The lake view is spectacular and the house is very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future."
Beautiful lake-access home with boat slip steps away from renowned Clark Lake!
10/10 Excellent
"This is a very clean, comfortable house in good condition. Be aware that the house is not on the lake. When the description says “steps from the lake” it means three houses between you and the lake. I highly suggest bringing bottled water. The owners put a lot of thought into making the home comfortable and beautiful. We didn’t get to enjoy the welcoming back yard bc of weather. Instead, we enjoyed the electric fireplace. Plenty if dining options close by."
