- The room was spotless!
- The staff very professional and did everything to make my staff comfortable.
- A convenient location to shops, restaurants, and transportation.
We stayed during part of the 2025 formula 1 weekend because our accommodation closer to town (Hotel Boss) was booked for some of the nights.
Very clean, room was spacious compared to our other accomodation, staff were very friendly and accomodating. The location is further from the city but the rail was close. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Safe, clean and nice staff.
I love this hotel! I had a beautiful, spacious room with a balcony, and the shower was exceptional. The hotel is ideally located close to the MRT line that links the airport to the downtown tourist areas, it's less than half an hour to either, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the local area. Also, after I checked out of my room, they kindly allowed me to store my luggage at reception while I explored the city, which I really appreciated.
fun area, and clean hotel and strong ac...and hot water! nothing more you can want....

booked a room for 3 but realised only a double bed was provided to us. went to enquire and front desk staff kindly gave us additional room without requiring additional payment as their superior family room was fully booked.
Otherwise, stay was pleasant!

Everything was good except the guy working at the reception who could not even give a simple smile to guests checking in, straight face not even a Hi when we walked in, made me want to find another Hotel straight away, however the house keeper young man was very polite and helpful
Champion Hotel offers an excellent experience with its ideal location, making it highly convenient to access various food centers. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Features like the room's window provide lovely natural lighting, adding to the overall comfort.
The front desk service was exceptional; Esther assisted me during check-in, and her friendly demeanor made the process enjoyable. Overall, my stay at Champion Hotel was highly satisfying, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable and relaxing staycation.
However, one area for improvement would be the process of requesting amenities, as guests are required to collect them from the front desk. My suggestion would be to plan ahead to avoid any inconvenience, especially if you're dressed for relaxation. Despite this, it does not diminish the overall quality of the stay
Practically now water in the shower for the entire length of my stay in the hotel. I could nor wash myself properly.
Also, the air condition was constantly stopping at night. The room was very hot.

Overall, we were happy with our stay at A Hotel Joo Chiat (aka Champion Hotel).
The room was quiet and clean. There were a few rough edges, like the cupboard door coming off the hinge, but just fine.
We did not expect to pay a 50 SGD deposit upon check-in, this should have been noted prior to booking.
The reception staff were good and they helped us sort the room to our comfort level.
The rooms are clean with toilet accessories and bath towels which are changed everyday.
The location of the hotel is good as there are a couple of South Asian restaurants and close to bus stations and MRT.
Overall very pleasant stay for us. I certainly recommend this hotel as the price is not took much .
Have to remind the front desk to make the room (the room was not made 3 days out of 6)
Reception staff barely speaking English
Poor internet / wifi connection
Henry and jenny were at counter for check in.
It was a super busy day so lobby was packed with guests but despite the hectic pace jenny was warm as always.
Such a joy to see henry too, really appreciate how they always remmber guest preference abd do their best to take care of me.
Realised they were training a new member of staff and how patient they were to explain everything.
Thank you for the wonderful aevice as always.
They are the ones that keep me coming back
The bathroom roof leaks and smell, the water got my body while I was using it, since I only stay one night and was tired,I did not ask for changing the room. The roof of the reception hall is also leaking. I told the staff about it before I checked out around 7 in the morning.
This was our worst hotel experience ever. We have stayed at this property before when it was Champion Hotel, but since rebranding to A Hotel Joo Chiat, the standards have completely collapsed.
My parents’ stay was a nightmare. They were forced to change rooms five times over a five-night stay due to major issues: faulty air conditioning, a broken TV, loud pressure noises that made them nauseous, and even a room with leftover fruit and ants crawling everywhere. The final room still had a malfunctioning aircon, which is unacceptable in Singapore’s humid climate. To make matters worse, each room change placed them on a different floor or far from the previous room, forcing us to constantly pack up and move. We have deposit receipts to prove how many times this happened.
Our own room had serious issues too. The shower water pressure fluctuated between normal and jet mode every two seconds, and hot water ran out after just 10 minutes—not enough time to wash long hair. Despite having an opened but sealed pack of dessert, ants still invaded the room. The worst part? The hotel’s digital Do Not Disturb/Make Up Room system stopped working conveniently when housekeeping arrived, allowing staff to enter against our wishes. This was a clear violation of our privacy.
This hotel completely failed us. Between the constant room changes, poor maintenance, and lack of respect for guest privacy, this was an extremely stressful and frustrating stay. AVOID this place at all costs.
