"We had breakfast there. Service was a little slow. The food was good. We had drinks at the Mamahune’s Tiki bar. Drinks were good. The location right on the ocean was wonderful. "

"The resort is self is old, but the location is awesome and most of the people that work. There are very friendly except for one gentleman who is extremely rude. They really need to have their rooms a little bit cleaner."

"When we first pulled up to the property, I was a little apprehensive. The driveway is basically the back, so it didn't look like the pictures. But once we checked in and entered the property, holy moly! The grounds were absolutely immaculate, the pool was so clean and the seating and umbrellas, etc., were resort class. We loved the patio and chairs outside our room and enjoyed sitting out there and watching the clouds and listening to the ocean. The room was the perfect size, spotless and the soaps and shampoos were wonderful. My hair has never been softer! The beds had the perfect amount of pillows! SIX! The towels were soft, the staff were amazing, over all I think we'll spend more days at this hotel. The restaurant was very nice and the food was ok. No fault of theirs, all the food and drinks are expensive when on vacation. We loved this property so much and it was a great choice. The Coconut Marketplace was next door which had a great selection of restaurants, shops and a convenience store with souvenirs, supplies and food."

"The Fern Grotto Inn was absolutely beautiful and in the perfect location for accessing all areas of the island without making the drive too long. The River Cottage was perfect, the bed and pillows were so comfy! We were extremely happy with our stay."

"We had a wonderful vacation, the room was big, the beds were comfortable, the view was incredible. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The food in the restaurant and bar was delicious."

"We love our stay in Lihue. The location was ideal for seeing all of the island while we were there. The place was clean, and beds were comfortable. Plenty of fans to keep you cool being there is no AC. It was also very quite (with the exception of the rosters that are everywhere on the island) and very close to a beautiful part of Lydgate beach with very few people if anyone on it or you can drive a very short distance to Lydgate park where they have a great place to snorkel for beginners. It was nice to have a cooler and ice packs to take with us on our day trips. And a beach umbrella and boogie boards to use at the beach. We would recommend this place and would stay here again. Thank you!"
