We loved our stay at Railway River Retreat! The house was clean and ready for us before we got there. The kitchen was nicely stocked with kitchenware needed to prepare out meals. We enjoyed our time in Southfork and would highly recommend this cabin for anyone needing a place to stay with a larger group.

Perfect Getaway

This property has it all! All the amenities you could need and a great location! We could not find one thing to complain about. Adults had space and the kiddos had a space as well which was great! Big open living area for everyone to gather together! Perfect!!!! Thank you for a wonderful family getaway!

Multi generational family gathering

This was perfect for our large family group. The kitchen was very well equipped and having a place for the kids to hang out downstairs was fantastic. We LOVED watching the deer go by almost every morning. This was a wonderful home to come back to after a day of skiing to be able to relax.

This Log Home is the real deal‼️ It’s exactly what you would hope for in the Mountains, and the amenities are first class. The decor is perfect, the kitchen & bathrooms are amazing and the only problem we had was…We did NOT want to leave…LOL. Everything about it is spectacular. We will be booking again and again‼️

Amazing Weekend!!

Loved every second of our stay. I really don’t know what else to say other than it was a perfect weekend in a perfect home. The space, ambiance and great company made for a weekend in the mountains skiing that we’ll never forget and always cherish between us all. Thank you for opening your home to us. Great location and very well laid out for large groups

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spacious layout for large groups and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the outside fire-pit and game area downstairs. The abundance of windows was so beautiful. Just a little critique...having blinds to draw down during the early hours would be a great way to let people enjoy the living area as well. We were disappointed in the lack of cleaning when we checked in, but were told that they would reimburse us for the cleaning fee. We had a bit of trouble getting questions answered before our trip. However, once we checked in the communication was better. Overall,we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return due to location and accommodations.

Family trip

The house was so gorgeous and was very well equipped with so much, we really appreciated the extra baby equipment that helped in so many ways, as well as the fully stocked kitchen allowing us to cook for large number of family members. We were very thankful for the fenced in yard, helping to prevent kids from going to the river which was so close and moving so rapidly! This house is right in town and in a growing neighborhood so easy access to gas and groceries and fishing licenses.

Family utv trip

The house size was great for our party of 12! Suggestions would be to add a fridge in the downstairs pool room! Not near enough fridge space for a house of this size. We usually have two laundry rooms,in the homes we stay in it was difficult to keep up with one washer/dryer. My observations of the housekeeping was not good. You could not walk across any of the rooms, barefoot, without having black feet!! But, having said this, the home is beautiful and outside are also! Furniture was good and great cookware for our big group!

Great property with a few exceptions

The house is huge. It is owned by trophy hunters and in case you are bothered by this, there are a plethora of wildlife trophies on the walls all over the house. It wasn't ideal for our group. We chose this house because it slept so many people. However, the queen beds advertised are actual double bunks. It made it very difficult for some of our 6ft3 friends to sleep comfortably. The upstairs king room also has some structural issues and cold air leaked through the walls from the outside. It was at best 45 degrees in that room. We had a good time and the skiing was amazing, just wished the description on beds was more accurate and there weren't so many animal heads all over the wall.

Great house for a large family gathering!

It was a great house for a large family gathering and ski trip. We enjoyed our time in South Fork and used it as our base for getting to Wolf Creek to ski. We slept 16 comfortably.

Elopement in SF

The house was beautiful! The view, decor, amenities far exceeded our expectations! The beds are super comfortable~kitchen well equipped. The only “complaint” was the thermostat, we could not get it regulated throughout. I would highly recommend this cabin!
