"Never again! The pictures look AMAZING! When we arrived… the place is very run down. There are people smoking things they aren’t supposed to be smoking every corner you turn. The stairs to walk upstairs were worn and falling apart. Grass isn’t green.. patio furniture is rusted and can’t be trusted. Bathroom was filthy!! Shower tiles were dirty, corners of the bathroom had mold, there was blood stains under the rim of the toilet. There was hair on the shower wall. Beds are UNCOMFORTABLE… sheets are paper thin and pillows are worn. Walls are extremely thin and you can hear people’s beds and furniture creaking. Fishing area is decent, but people gut fish and just leave them floating around & it doesn’t look or smell great. Parking spaces are very narrow and it’s extremely hard to park and find parking. It was an extremely disappointing experience. We only stayed one night. I’d been wanting to stay there for a while because I’d always seen the pictures online…. But they are extremely deceiving! I wouldn’t recommend this place AT ALL."

"I usually don’t give such poor reviews. I was disappointed I will say from check in to breakfast in hotel. The cereal was stale, the check in was unfriendly, and the elevator was not functioning. I’m glad we only booked for 1 night. Management please change this service."

"The location and view from our balcony was amazing. The staff was top notch. They were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and had many options. (eggs, made to order burrito and omelettes, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice, etc. The food in their lunch/dinner cafe was good. The adult beverages were inconsistent depending on the staff who made them. Overall- it was a great experience and we enjoyed South Padre. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back to La Copa. "

"Good breakfast. Awesome staff. Ammenities updated but still old. Clean. Stayed with family for one night and it was a good stay. Luis made Breakfast very lively and unique. Did not use pool so I have no opinion on it. "
