“The hotel is old, but nice. Staff are helpful. However, bathroom ventilation fan can be cleaned. And the room could be brighter.”

“Stayed for 2 nights first breakfast was not good 😐 Second breakfast was lovely hot lots of it , Room large / bed big & slept well , Bathroom big & bath & separate shower , only thing big black mark on ceiling ( looked like mold ) Staff helpful but not that mean on at once ,”

“Rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We didn’t use the spa due to only staying one night and the extra charge as booked through Expedia but if book direct, it’s included. Breakfast was £16.95 and worth it. Great choice. Lovely outdoor seating area. Beds comfy. Bathrooms good. Quiet location. All was good.”

The grounds and gardens were beautiful, such a tranquil environment and a fitting setting for such an interesting and attractive property. The hotel is steeped in history, Super amenities. Comfortable room with cosy beds. The staff were friendly and welcoming; very helpful and accommodating of additional requests. An open buffet of both cooked and continental breakfast; everything was fresh and tasted yummy. Perfect way to start……
