Comfortable and tidy cottage

The property was clean and well-maintained, and in a convenient location near Williamsburg, Smithfield and other historic locations. Access to the Jamestowne-Scotland ferry was great.

The house was just as advertised. Back yard was great for our dog.Home was clean and everything worked. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and not the most convenient location, but I never felt unsafe and it was quiet.

The house was not clean we were finding other people stuff in every room the grass was not cut the trash was never taken out to the curb all three trash cans was full and had the whole place smelling outside we had buy thing to cook with they did come out and cut the grass when I messaged them about it we had to wait until two day before we left to take the garbage out

Cozy inexpensive stay

Great and timely communication from James. Enjoyed the firepit and seating out back. Kitchen was well stocked but we didnt use it. Shower in the master bedroom was quite the challenge. No top sheet on 4 of the 5 beds. Could use more blankets. The house is only 1100 sqft so i expected small but one bedrrom is quite small and the friend that slept in it complained she heard road noise all night. Only a few minutes away from the ferry. If you are planning a lot in Williamsburg give yourself an extra 40 minutes travel time for the ferry which was fun. Overall clean decent house for the money.

Family Reunion

We had a great time. James communicated with me throughout and before our stay. Plenty of room for 6 adults and a big dining room table that seats 10 for board games. We highly recommend it..

The Great Gatsby wasn’t that great!

The uneven heat left some freezing while others were too warm, the one shower was unusable. We reached out to the host with no answer concerning an unannounced visitor. The neighborhood was undesirable, in fact concerning. The positive was traveling to and from Williamsburg was easy with using the ferry, we actually enjoyed that.

Convenience and Clean

The house was very convenient to our activities in Jamestown, Surry and Smithfield. House was clean and nicely decorated. Lots of room for four adults. Nicely stocked kitchen. Host was very helpful.
