Getaway to FL

The check-in process was every easy everything was very clean. Awesome house. Great location. I went in August and it basically felt like a private beach!

As Advertised

Quick getaway

Loved this house! It was spacious and comfortable. A well stocked with kitchen appliances and dishes. The bedrooms were really nice, and quiet. The yard and space under the house still needs work after the cleanup from whatever storm affected it, so we didn’t spend much time outside except on the beach, but enjoyed the decks. Because the road ends in front of the house a lot of people had to turn around in front of the house, so perhaps a gate would be useful. Access to the very private beach was easy. Really enjoyed it!

Great Location

The location is hard to beat. Even though they were finishing up with construction on old A1A at the time, the location is hard to beat. The house itself was clean, and Marty was a great host to deal with. Communication was great. Once Construction is complete on old A1A (which it should be by now), this is one of the best stays in the area, and we will be back again.

Perfect for a relaxing family vaca

This was our second stay in this home and it was just as relaxing as the first visit. Having the ocean waves crashing just in front of the house on the jetty makes for very soothing days. The bedrooms are spread across upper and lower levels to give everyone their own space and privacy. There’s a photo on the listing that is misleading, showing there’s a fishing dock on the back that was amazing on our first stay, but it’s now covered with sand due to dredging so no inlet out back anymore. Beach is now only accessible from walking in the sand-filled inlet behind the house around another house, but it’s worth it! Owner was an excellent communicator and we’d book with them again.

Great beach house

Our family really enjoyed our time here. The views from the home are great. The beach is a short walk away. First time for our dogs at the beach, they loved it. Many areas to relax inside and out.Plenty of room for everyone. Home has a really good layout. Great food and activities not too far away.

Friends Reunion

We enjoyed the home and it's location. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and had wonderful views of the ocean. Our favorite spot was the outside patio which afforded a view of the Intercoastal waterway and the ocean, with a large table to enjoy our meals. On our first night, the oven gave us some problems. They responded immediately and sent someone out to fix the problem first thing the following morning. While we were able to use the oven, it remained very slow to heat and probably should be replaced. Having said that, we loved our stay and will be booking again for next year.

Lovely view but had some issues

I recently stayed at this VRBO property, and while there were some positives, I must share a few concerns. Firstly, upon arrival, we encountered several live cockroaches in both common areas and bedrooms, which was quite unsettling. Additionally, it was evident that the floors hadn't been thoroughly cleaned, as we found hair and dust balls in the bathrooms and kitchen. A layer of dust was found under the sofa and chairs in the living room when they had been moved by use. Furthermore, there were a few inconveniences in the property. The dishwasher was full when we arrived, and we also found towels in the dryer, which we took out and folded ourselves. Lastly, the middle burner on the stove failed to generate sufficient heat and the oven was not functioning, which limited our cooking options. Despite these issues, the views and location were beautiful, but the cleanliness and appliance issues left room for improvement.

Always Dreaming of Going Back

We had a fantastic vacation at Always Dreaming. The house itself is a nice size, and nicely laid out. The Living/Dining/Kitchen area is all open, so we never felt cramped with 6 adults. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were good, but the real stars of this vacation were: 1. Porches. Front and back were so nice that we spent more time sitting on the porches than we did in the house. The outdoor furniture is really comfortable higher-end pieces. They could have used a little cleaning, but overall, excellent. 2. The proximity to the beach was interesting. The house sits on Old A1A, or what is left of that section. The road itself washed out years ago, and this house sits at the end of the north section. Pictures indicate that we could walk out the front door, turn right and hit the beach. Not so. Because of the stone berm in front of this section of road, you have to walk around the back of the house and around to get to the beach, which was not a big deal at all. In fact, it made it so the beach was very private. 3. The water was so clear and refreshing, it was truly amazing. There were a couple of minor things that don't even need to be mentioned, other than beach chairs and beach toys were just about non-existent. In summary, it's an easy 5 stars for us, even with the bizarre geography and a couple of warts. Before you rent, be sure to look up 'Old A1A at Summer Haven', so you can understand what you'd be getting into. For us, we loved it and will return every year we can

Location is amazing!

Had an amazing weekend!! You can’t get any closer to the water! The home has amazing views out of every window. The beds are comfortable! The walk to the beach is literally out of either the front or back door. The home is fully furnished. The property management was responsive and provided all of the instructions needed before we arrived. Check in and check out was easy! Had a great weekend!

Amazing Location!

This home is perfect for a large family. There is plenty of room for both privacy and gathering together. The views are incredible and the location is amazing! The ocean is in front of you and the inlet is behind you. We all enjoyed exploring the tide pools behind the home during low tide. We were lucky enough to see a lion fish and many other sea creatures. We came home with beautiful pictures to remind us of our stay. Rent this home, you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely loved this home!

I rented this home for a little family get away. There were 9 of us in the house, 7 adults and 2 teenagers. Everyone loved the house. We had plenty of room and never felt like we were on top of each other. With the ocean in the front and the intercoastal waterway in the back, the views are spectacular from every room. The home offers many outside areas to hang out and enjoy the view too. We stayed in December so the wind off the ocean was a little cool, but perfect sweatshirt weather. Loved it so much that we are hoping that we can rent it again. Rent it and enjoy it......you won't regret it!!!!

Prefect location

Cannot beat being able to fish on the intracostal in the backyard and swim, play, fish on the beach in the front of the house. Clean house, well appointed.

Sad it’s the last time.

Summer family vacation

Great beach house, awesome private location off A1A. It was as advertised, clean, good place for a family vacation. Comfortable living area, beds were fine, good water pressure/ temperature. Close to St Augustine and Palm coast.
