It’s a cute retro motel, clean, parking, coffe/tea amenities, nice pool, within walking distance to restaurants… my only criticism is the bed was very uncomfortable

I contacted the property about mold in the AC unit, and they did not respond. Acknowledgement of a concern goes a long way. The room was very clean and spacious.

Great little motel but they need a better model for checking in. They also promised coffee but the door to the office stayed locked and there was no coffee. It is super cute but I thinking maybe adding a person might help even if they are not available all the time.

I passed by the Local the last time we visited St. Augustine and thought it looked so cute, I knew I wanted to stay there next time we were in town. Also, the location to shops & restaurants around St. Augustine is perfect! Our room was clean and had everything we needed, the pool area was cute and kept up nicely (& being 8 months pregnant I really appreciated the large flamingo float), and we even stopped into the lobby to have a complimentary latte. We will be staying again!

The room was really clean and had a fridge, nice shower and the bed was comfortable. The ice machine was difficult to use as it didn’t dispense ice very well. Parking was very easy. Check in was a little difficult as the link on the Expedia app was very small and a bi hard to get the info I needed to check in.

The check in process was OK - different being contactless. Had to put down a deposit of $100 for the room we paid for already. The ROKU TV did not work and the parking was limited otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Will have to get a room with a queen or king. The full did not cut it!

The pros were that the room was clean and most importantly the bathroom was clean! We were able to walk just a mile over the Bridge of Lions to St. George Street which was nice and convenient. The cons were that the a/c wasn’t very cold, the parking is kind of tight, the WiFi didn’t work (which was not a biggie), and lastly it was frustrating not being able to get towels when we needed them. Overall it was a nice stay and a good location.
