Carworgie Cottage

  • Carworgie Cottage offers a relaxed base in Newquay, located on the Atlantic Reach holiday site, just a short drive from the heart of the town. Famous for its golden beaches, rolling waves, and lively seaside atmosphere, Newquay is a fantastic destination for families.



    Whether it’s building sandcastles on Fistral Beach, exploring rock pools at Towan Beach, or enjoying classic seaside amusements, there’s something for all ages to enjoy. Newquay’s attractions include fun-filled arcades, adventure golf, and the popular Newquay Zoo, where children can get up close to fascinating animals. The Blue Reef Aquarium is another great option, offering an underwater journey through tropical reefs and local marine life.



    Carworgie Cottage can accommodate up to five guests across two bedrooms. The first is a double bedroom with wardrobe space, while the second is a twin bedroom with storage. A single sofa bed in the lounge provides additional sleeping space for a fifth guest. There is one family bathroom with a shower, basin, and WC.



    The open-plan lounge and kitchen area is fully equipped for self-catering, featuring a dining table, sofas, and a Smart TV. Patio doors lead outside, making it an ideal spot for summer stays.



    If you fancy a meal out, the on-site Manor Arms pub and The Hut (both seasonal) offer dining options, while a café open year-round provides a convenient place for snacks and drinks.



    On-site, families will find plenty of open green space for children to run around, and one well-behaved dog is welcome to join in the fun.



    Parking is included for one vehicle, but guests will need to register their vehicle ahead of time. Additional parking is available in any of the site’s car parks, all within easy walking distance of the holiday home.

Excellent

We had such a lovely stay here, it really exceeded our expectations. The home was beautifully clean, well maintained and had a cosy, comfortable feel. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The smart TV was a great bonus so could stream Netflix etc. We also made use of the site facilities except the swimming pool but that was not a problem as we went to nearby Hendra Holiday Park which had water slides for a fun filled swim. Overall, this is one of the nicest holiday homes we’ve stayed in. It’s clear a lot of care has gone into it and would definitely stay again!

Overall good but would&#39ve liked towels

Overall the place was lovely. Light, airy, clean and lovely area outside to sit. When we arrived there were no towels. I called up and the lady said she would get someone to bring us some (which never happened) we had to make do with pillow cases and other bits to dry off all weekend which wasn&#39t ideal at all. Also there was a dirty towel left in a drawer in one of the bedrooms.

A great option for a weekend away

The cottage was perfect for our needs with a cosy living area, well appointed kitchen area and comfortable beds (with good storage). The location was great for getting out and about and the price was really REALLY good value. I know the booking was relatively last minute but there were problems with getting our information to the holiday park due to permissions not being given to access the Google form. In the future I would suggest finding a different way for information to be submitted or to remove the need for permissions. Luckily the staff at the holiday park were understanding and the potential parking charges we would have incurred happily waived. I would also add the following: Wifi. It was great that the television connected to amazon and Netflix but the mobile signal kept dropping out which was frustrating. I would happily pay a little more to stay for access to wifi. A guest information book. We weren't sure what facilities, if any, on the holiday park we could use. Also, we were relatively new to the area so weren't sure where the closest supermarket, attractions etc might be. Having a folder with this kind of information would be a great extra.
