All if the hotels on the beach are twice and three times the price. My view from the room was the most incredible view I've ever had from a hotel. U see the entire bay. A double rainbow came out. It was amazing. A perfect weekend with my lovely lady. U walk to the beach in less than 5 mins, and you can eat at the flamboyant which had a wonderful menu with live music. Next door wa my fav place on the beach, it was a beach bar with a croquet field and bochie balls. Sooo much fun. Recomend this for a nice getaway if u don't wish to pay 500 at the beach resorts. It's a great price at this place

MADE THE BEST OF MY VACAY
HOTEL IS IN NICE LOCATION BUT THE PLACE WAS NOT PROPERLY UPKEEP. THEY NEED TO DO SOME WORK ON THE ROOMS TO UPGRADE THE WINDOW CURTAINS ARE OLD, THE CUPBOARDS ARE ROTTING AS FAST AS THE CLEANER SWEEP THE FLOOR IS BEING PLAGUED WITH THE WOOD WORMS, THE BATHTUB NEED SEALING BECAUSE BETWEEN THE CRACKS ROACHES KEEP COMING OUT AT NIGHTS,THE BATH TOWELS LOOKED DINGY AND SMELLED MUSKY. URGENT ATTENTION NEEDED IN ORDER TO KEEP THE CUSTOMERS COMING!
BESIDES ALL THAT NEGATIVE REVIEWS THE STAFF WAS VERY COURTEOUS FROM ADMINISTRATION TO SECURITY. THE MANAGER'S COCKTAIL IS WHERE YOU MEET AND IS GREETED BY MANAGMENT AND CHIT CHAT SEE OTHER GUEST WHILE YOU SIP ON A RUM PUNCH OR A SOFT DRINK ALSO YOU CAN ABLE TO BUY SOME OF THE LOCAL PRODUCTS LIKE THE SPICES THAT ARE BEING DISPLAYED.
THE OWL RESTAURANT WAS THE BOMB, GUESSED THE NAME SPOKE FOR ITSELF. WAS ABLE TO GET FOOD LATE HOURS OF THE NIGHT WHICH WAS FINGER LICKING GOOD.
THEN THERE WAS THE WHOLE STRETCH OF BEACH TO ENJOY AND THE UMBRELLA RESTAURANT AND BAR WHERE YOU CAN GO AND EAT OR DRINK SOMETHING AFTER A NICE SWIM.
From the first moment we got there until we left, I was thrilled by the hotel. Throughout the entire stay we were constantly helped by courteous and efficient staff members.
Housekeeping was constantly going above and beyond and even did the messy dishes we left behind.
The rooms were fantastic! They looked recently redone and I almost didn't want to enjoy the beautiful weather because the indoors was so nice.
I loved Grenada and will visit again. When I do, I will without a doubt, stay at the Flamboyant. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Great location tucked at the end of the bay . The staff could not have been more helpful , beach restaurant served great food with a smile at very reasonable prices . All the rooms have spectacular views of the bay , if you don't do steps this place would not be for you . We will definately be back .

Okay Hotel
They should mention about he stairs leading to the beach.
Stayed at the flamboyant in for 11 days in March 2016. Hotel is very dated and pictures of facilities are very misleading. Fairly clean hotel, too many stairs to access any part of the hotel. Very expensive for quality of hotel. Only upside was the view of the beach.
Enjoyed the beach, pool, restaurant and bar at the hotel. Wonderful views from our room perched up on the hill overlooking Grand Anse Beach and St. George. Even though there are lots of stairs to climb, it is worth the effort.

Hotel with a great view
I had previously stayed at this hotel and decided to try it again on this trip. The hotel is built on the side of a hill and so unless you get a room that is next to the reception area you have a lot of steps to climb to get to and from your room. The majority of the rooms have a dated appearance with older style amenities but everything works well in the room. I had no problem connecting to the hotel's Wi-Fi. The staff are very pleasant.
On a beautiful beach. Good bar and food. Friendly, helpful staff.

OK, but would not return. Other places offer more
Stayed here two days prior to, and two days after, a seven day Windjammer cruise.
Overall the hotel was OK... Very friendly staff and front desk.
My issues:
1. The Coqui frogs (spelling unsure) - these little buggers sound like a very squeaky wheel, and are VERY LOUD, and go all night until dawn. They kept me awake almost the whole night the first night. Them, and my issue number 2. The air conditioning. It blew directly on the bed, was COLD, not refreshing, and was LOUD. Between these two issues - I was ready to go to another hotel at around 2 AM, having not slept a wink...
I learned later that there are MUCH better hotel choices, on the beach, that while more pricey, I would have sprung for in a NY second, knowing what I do now.
Issue #3. "The Steps" to the Restaurant/Bar and the beach. Jeezzzz! I didn't count, but I'm estimating 175 or so. It's not that fun trumping down to a bad breakfast, but even worse climbing back up to brush teeth, change, etc., then climbing back down again for the beach, then climbing back up again, etc., etc., etc..... If you love stairs for exercise, then this is your place... For me, on my vacation, I do not appreciate them.
Issue #4. The "breakfast buffet" - give me a break! Sausage sucked, bacon a mass of fat, a few kinds of fruit, and custom made eggs. I'd say worth $7 or so, but charged much more.....
My advice - shop around !!!!!
I was in Grenada for work, but wanted to be able to enjoy the beach as well, and this hotel was perfect for that. The first day the stairs were rather daunting, but it seems I got used to them, and in the end, every morning at 6 am I would run down them to the beach for my warming swim and snorkel, then have a light breakfast at the tables just in front of the beach. The staff were always willing to please and always had a smile. The gardens were also beautiful, and the view spectacular.
5 minute walk to beach, beach towels & goggles available at front desk. Grand Anse beach was not crowded and water was clear. Got a workout climbing up steep stairs to go back to room when finished on beach so who needed the gym.

Nice but slightly dated hotel with an amazing view
The Flamboyant is in a great location at the south end of Grand Anse beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. As several other reviews have mentioned the stairs up to the rooms are quite an ordeal, however they do have a complimentary golf cart service from reception and the bar/restaurant up if you can't face the walk. Food at the restaurant is lovely and reasonably priced too so I can definitely recommend dining onsite. The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning that is an essential in a place like Grenada. The only issues were that the water pressure and temperature in the shower was inconsistent and often poor and many fittings such as the bedside lamps were aging and visibly worn or damaged. Overall I'd say this is a very nice place to stay close to the beach in Grenada considering the price and I'd almost certainly stay again in the future.
Nice getaway..excellent view and location. Service is off in some ways, but for the most part good. It is lovely to be on a cliff looking down over Grand Anse and St. George, and for that, it is well worth staying here.

OK for Business
Not good enough for a holiday, but was there for business, so it was ok.
Most rooms are a walk from the beach, which not great.
Food was good at the restaurant near the beach.
Staff not great! Don't they understand that tourists are important to Grenada?!

Great ocean view
Relaxing weekend but disappointed with beach faciltiies and restaurant.
We got in after 11 P.M. and check in took a very long time.
We found the hotel too expensive and the breakfast especially so.
The personnel at the hotel are very nice and helpful.
We were only there overnight
We stayed in a one bedroom villa that was huge. The views from the balcony were breath taking. We cook a lot of our own meals but the food at the hotel was also very good.
It was my first time in Grenada, however I went with my husband and his family including his dad who is from Grenada so there were a lot of expectations and pressure.
We were pleasantly surprised by the facilities at the Flamboyant Hotel. It has the best views of Grand Anse Beach by far and it always has a beautiful breeze. We have been to other 3 star facilities and you just say "oh well" but here at the Flamboyant the staff was very polite, professional and made us feel very welcome. They would not hesitate to find, fix or help you with anything. The units we stayed in advertised kitchens and we were not disappointed. We were a group of 14 and although we were in different units we tended to meet at ours and cook a family dinner each night. We were so happy to have a kitchen that could handle all the "cooks". It made our family vacation so enjoyable to be able to be together and relax without worrying about disturbing other dinner guests.
The Flamboyant is one of the best medium price hotels I have EVER come across It rates top marks for location; superb views of Grand Anse Bay, high standard of cleanliness everywhere, helpful staff(with one exeption), excellent comfortable beds, relaxed atmosphere. The Owl Bar which is down on the beach, would be difficult to get to and from were it not for the golf buggy which relays guests and also takes them to their rooms and reception. As a wheelchair user myself this was invaluable.
