“The property itself was spotless. I didn't see a speck of dust. It is obviously cleaned pretty much daily. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good. The kitchen was clean and had everything you needed. I would add some baking trays and oven gloves but apart from that it was great! The bedroom was clean and tidy. The windows had all been opened beforehand to air out the house. Towels were provided for each person which was handy as my girls forgot theirs. The beds were quite hard but……

“Black mould around the bath. Inadequate heating, the radiators didn’t switch on and made the room quite cold. My room tv arial was broken, however the receptionist was very helpful and sourced me another arial cable from another room. ”

“We felt that the hotel offered very good value for money for a short few hour stay on route to our destination. It is true to say the hotel was full of charcter and one could easily imagine how beautiful it was in its heyday.... however time has clearly taken its toll. It seemed to have a variety of characters staying there..... Certainly one may feel vulnerable in the sirrounding area.... but the car park was close and included in the cost of the room. We have no complaints whatsoever. ……
