"Fantastic stay, in a beautiful location with easy transport links. Room was perfect with an amazing lake view. Lovely food and service in the bar area, but had some issues with dining room in main restaurant, this was addressed effectively at reception. Overall a fantastic stay."

"We were originally booked in Lucerne, but after a less-than-ideal hotel experience, we made a last-minute switch to Villa Honegg—and it did not disappoint. Perched high on a hill, the staff greeted us with warmth and impeccable service from the moment we arrived. The views were breathtaking, and even our mountainside room felt serene and luxurious.
Amenities: 5 stars.
Food: 5 stars (dinner and breakfast were both exceptional).
Staff: 5 stars.
And yes—there’s a distinct cow scent drifting off the veranda (welcome to the Swiss Alps!), but you quickly get used to it. Overall, a truly memorable stay and one we’d return to in a heartbeat."
"Horrible experience. Reached around 6pm. No one present at the property. Could not enter. Need to speak a guest who helped to do stuff online check in. had 2 rooms, none have toilet, dirty, next to main road, too noisy, could not sleep, no cooling arrangement, too hot. Next morning met staff, very unfriendly, for example a big black dog freely came into restaurant while have breakfast, asked owner to lead and he said "it is his dog and it is his property so he would not". Though he took the dog away. Rude staff, never recommend for any British visitors"

"We cannot say enough good about this place. Our one regret is that we did not stay longer. The location is peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what we had imagined a stay in the mountains in Switzerland would be like. The apartment itself was impeccably clean; we didn't find a speck of dust. The apartment is spacious as well. Two bedrooms, a dining room, kitchen and living room... Plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. We had plenty of clean bath and kitchen towels. Vrenny, our host, was welcoming and warm despite our language barrier. One thing to be aware of is that it's an 11 minute drive up the mountain from Stansstad. The last half of the drive is on a one lane, two direction road that is sometimes blocked by cows. Part of the charm for sure. We loved our stay and have been thinking about it since we left. We should have stayed longer. And if we decide to travel back to Switzerland any time soon we will definitely include this farmhouse in our itinerary."
