We stayed at the Forest Park Place for a couple of nights on our way down to Florida. We never felt unsafe in this downtown St. Louis neighborhood, and parking was always available in the street directly in front of the house. There are about 7 or 8 steps that lead up to a porch with chairs to sit on if you'd like, and we were so pleasantly surprised to open the front door to an old house that had been completely renovated. Everything in the house was NEW - the floors, the furniture, the appliances, pots and pans, glasses and dishes galore, the bedding, and the towels - all NEW! We also appreciated the coffee pods and the dishwasher pods that were supplied by the host, as this was an additional expense that we didn't have to incur. If we had more time, we'd have definitely visited the large, nearby park, and we'd have also played some golf too, so we will have to make another trip this way to enjoy those and so many other amenities that St. Louis has to offer. There were restaurants and grocery stores in walking distance, and I just can't say enough great things about this beautiful old/new home. We will be back for sure!
