Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the experience was a good one. Upon arrival, the sun host staff was not friendly and was not readily available to assist us since they stated they were too busy which was referred to more than once. After an 13.5 hour ride they were too busy for us especially when someone was parked in our parking spot. We are a repeat renter of unit 342 and love the accommodations. We were glad to see new couches delivered, and a few upgrades in the family room. We would like to see an upgrade in the utensils as the spoons were tiny and again there were very few small bowls for salad and/or breakfast cereal. Other than that it was a wonderful trip. Thanks for checking in.I do have one other question which is who monitors the pool? There are rules and regulations listed, but no one hears to it such as floats and rafts in the pool and over 30+ people in at the same time. Didn’t spend much time there since there wasn’t enough room for us. And there is a problem when people are diving in the pool and there are elderly or the pool is filled.

Nice spacious room

Our Happy Place

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Madeira Beach since the 1980s with my family and I have been coming since the 1960’s— my grandparents came in the 1930s when there were only cabins on the beach. We love the area and you get the best of all worlds. Saint Pete, Treasure, Island, and Clearwater are just a drive away. The infamous John’s pass is directly across the street and the gorgeous beach is in your front yard! There’s no better place to be than Surf Song resort at Madeira Beach!

Amazing time!

We were very impressed with the location and the condo itself! It was gorgeous and there is so much to do right across the street within walking distance! We’re already planning our next stay and we just left! Lol Definitely recommend this place!!

February Get Away

The unit we rented could use a little TLC and we didn’t feel the unit was thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very lovely room, fit all of our family needs. Adequate space, kitchen essentials, extra bedding, etc. we love this unit and will continue to rent as our children grow. Not impressed with the secondary management company (TRS) in this complex. The maintenance man (CJ) was unprofessional/rude and kicked our children out of the pool for sitting on the side, continued to harass our minor children for “rule violations” that were not posted, refused to address the adults over concerns. The pool was dirty, only saw it vacuumed 1 time on our 13 day stay. The grounds are not kept up like they were when SunHost managed all the grounds. Our first week was not pleasant at all due to the constant harassment from CJ the maintenance man and other elderly guests that we did not even interact with or congregate around. We were not the only guests displeased with TRS employees and how they manage the property. If we didn’t love the area and the friends we have made over the years vacationing here we would 100% not return simply because of TRS management company.

As described. Great location. Very spacious.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Downstairs was much warmer than upstairs, which made it slightly uncomfortable for sleeping since bedrooms were downstairs. Great location, right on the beach and directly across from John's Pass. Would definitely stay again!

Do Not Recommend!!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The only good thing about this condo is its location. Otherwise, we were extremely disappointed. Overall, the place was very dirty and not well maintained. The AC did not adequately cool the downstairs, so the bedrooms were warm, even with the thermostat turned down low. The sink drains in all of the bathrooms drained very slowly. The refrigerator appeared to be older and the fridge door did not seal properly, which we did not know until we found that our food and drinks inside were warm. While there was cable TV, most of the channels had no sound. There is no exhaust fan in one of the full bathrooms, causing the downstairs to have a foul, musty smell. There was very little lighting, especially in the bedrooms. The clock in the living room was broken. We used the oven and it had obviously not been cleaned because it had something burned onto the bottom, which started to smoke and smell when the oven was on. Overall, it was not a good experience and we will not be staying here again.

An Ok Experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this unit for the past 10 years. This was the first year that we ran into some hiccups. There were not enough utensils, cups, glasses, pots and pans for six adults during the week we stayed. We had to do dishes every night because we needed the dishes the next day. A little Disappointing. I also feel the shower in the master bath needs to be corrected as the shower leaked out behind the toilet after every use. Surf song is a great place to stay and my family has been coming for over 50 years but I feel room 342 has gone down with little updates. Overall we love surf song and will continue to come down — thank you

Relaxing

Reviewer Comments: There are a few repairs that need to be made to the condo but over all we are pleased as always. The last day July 4th there was a new group of people that basically took over the pool area and were pouring their alcohol in the pool. My daughters couldn't even swim do to the overwhelming amount of people in the pool and they weren't comfortable with them pouring their drinks in the pool. Would have said something to the office but they were closed for the 4th and the following day we left to return home before the office opened. Over all all other days were really nice and we are looking forward to next year.

Can we just move in?

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After having to rebook our room twice due to covid related problems, we were happy to finally get back to Surf Song. We had room 342(spiral stair case.) I was a good fit for our group. The room was nice and clean and looked great! The room was just for sleep since we were busy elsewhere, like the pool. My granddaughters loved it!This was our 6th visit to Surf Song. The location is great! The beach is wonderful, though the Red Tide kept us off of it this visit! Went on the Pirate Ship with the grandkids and I was honored to be the guest pirate, Two Legged Pete! The Free Beer and wine helped! We had to see Hope and Winter at CMA. Quite a place they have there to care for the marine animals. Deep Sea Fishing through Hubbard's was a blast and the Friendly Fisherman Restaurant cook our catch for us. I would suggest blackened and Cajun seasonings. Dockside Dave's, The Conch Republic, Bamboo Beach Bar, The Hut, and The Middle Grounds were all wonderful as ever! Grouper, Shrimp, and Scallops were just out of this world, no matter where you ate them!Surf Song has always kept their property looking clean and fresh. They are painting the exterior now, but didn't get in the way of our fun.Owners have always been very nice to talk to. The desk staff, housekeepers, and maintenance are always willing to help with anything you! We have and will continue to boost to out friends and family about Surf Song. Some have stayed there also. Thank you for providing us with a well deserved vacation! We will be back ASAP!

Spacious, only complaint is temp can not go below 72 degrees due to freezing of units which caused downstairs area to get a bit to warm for my liking but fans in room helped! July 2020 Stay

Overall we had a great stay. Just a few things, the lower level was pretty dark and the light on the ceiling fan in the MB didn’t work. It would also have been nice to have a a few smaller items available in the kitchen, like paper towels, some multi purpose cleaner and maybe some foil or plastic wrap. We flew so we didn’t bring a lot of extra with us and also didn’t want to buy a bunch of extra stuff. Luckily I did bring extra dishwasher pods, coffee filters and extra kitchen trash bags, which really came in handy as the thin liners provided ripped and fell apart as soon as you took them out of the trash can.
