Great Stay!

The resort is great. Lots to do and lots of things within walking distance. The Ice Cream shop is the best! Friendly staff and very kid friendly!

Good location

We were disappointed. We have stayed at the Tradewinds many times before but we were disappointed this time. Several of the restaurants and bars were closed on premise. This would have been good to know ahead of time. There was no music by the adult pool. Room keys didn’t work half the time. Several resort amenities were closed but we still had to pay resort fees. Couldn’t access the pool or outdoor bar at Rum Fish. We still enjoy the location and the beds were good. We will definitely be checking other options for our next visit.

Beach condo Vrbo rental

We rented this propertyDue to its location and being right off the beach. It also was connected to tradewinds resort which was quite nice. The air condition in the hotel seem to be not functional and then her however the air in our room did work so I can’t complain there. It seemed a little bit of an older property. There also was some pressure from the front desk to participate in a timeshare tour which we were not interested in. We didn’t realize this was part of the checkin. Ugh. And half the restaurants were closed (in June)when we were there. Ugh again. But the beach was amazing, the kids activities were awesome and I loved having our own cabana each day that came with the room on the beach.

Double bait and switch (and no help from VRBO)

First, we signed-up on VRBO for a 4-night stay. When we checked in were told we needed to check out after 2 nights and then check into a different room. We spent that middle afternoon with our luggage repacked into our car. Second, the room photos did not match the property. When we complained about this we were told that "they take general photos of many of their rooms and put them on the website"...so you don't actually see a photo of the room you get. Lastly, VRBO was no help at all. I called them 3 times, and they hung-up up on me, put me on hold for 25 minutes, and then finally offered to help on the 3rd call. They did nothing at all and take no responsibility for this disaster of a vacation. Run away from this listing...and if you choose to use VRBO to schedule a vacation don't expect their help if things go wrong!!!
