Wonderful location

We had such a great time here for a wk. Not only did FL cooperate well with weather. The unit itself is on the perfect spot! Especially for people like us who bike. There are three directions you can go from the unit & not put your bike on a car. The Causeway and into Honeymoon Island. You can also bike both directions on Pinellas trail toward Tarpon Springs or Downtown Dunedin. They are the easiest trails so we took 2 bike rides a day most days. The owner graciously offers 2 passes to get in free for 4 units to share that we leave in a common area after use. Everyone was using them but getting turns to do so wasn't an issue. We used them 2x for bike rides into the island and 2x to drive in, to sit on beach, over a 7 day period. The kitchen is great, well stocked. Dishwasher helps you not have to do dishes while on vacation. We slept in master bedroom which is comfy. We brought out own Fire Stick since it's already logged into our viewing accounts & all the TV's had easy access to the HDMI port. Just bring power strips if you want to plug in multiple things to charge. The balcony is lovely! I love that they tell you not to smoke on balconies. We hate when people do at other places and you can't enjoy outside. They have a smoking area on the side but no one used it while we were there. So I can't say if it would drift up to the balcony or not. Great communication from host couple times we had questions. We hope to return to this place many times. Thank u, Dean.

Amazing spot with local opportunities

Dean was amazing at taking care of everything we needed. Having a boat to use was a huge bonus! The location is great for getting anywhere you want to go in the local area! We will definitely be back again!

Great place

On the canal. Quiet. Easy access to Honeymoon Island beaches. One block off Dunedin Causeway. 7 minutes to downtown. Restaurants. Pharmacy within walking distance. Supermarket 3 minute drive. Spacious and comfortably furnished. What.more could you want?

Very nice in a great location

Everything was as expected and the checkin process was easy. The unit was not spotless, however was clean. The weather did not necessarily cooperate, so unfortunately we did not have a chance to take out one of the boats and explore. My only minor complaint is the mattresses in unit D are not too comfortable, however that may be our personal preference. I would not hesitate on staying there again.

One of the best places

This property stands out from any normal rental. If you are up for it, the boat really makes it. Either way, many great places are just walking distance, keeping the small town feel true to Dunedin.

Expectations Exceeded!

What a wonderful stay at Captain's Quarters! Dean was available for any questions and checked in with us personally as well. We have stayed in this area previously and the location is perfect for quiet, watching dolphins, boating, walking, biking, etc. Property is clean, the added bonus was the boat which was one of the reasons we chose this property, we enjoyed our boating to close various locations. The Tiki Bus is also another bonus to get a ride into town. We will be back!

Loved the boat

Wonderful property, well managed. Dean was a super host and takes great care in the property. He was available for any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed using the boats that are available. Would stay here again and highly recommend to others. Comfortable bed, AC worked great. Just can't say enough nice things.

Wonderful Vacation!

Dean the owner, has an awesome rental ,great location , and the boat is a Plus. He stays on top of everything, if you need anything he’s there. Watching the dolphins come thru the bay , fishing and even seen a manatee come thru. Everything was awesome ! Can’t wait to return again .

Even better than imagined!

I decided to book here instead of Clearwater Beach and I’m so glad I did! If you want to be right on the water but away from the crowds, Captains Quarters is the perfect location. You can sit on your deck overlooking the canal, take a short walk or bike ride to the beach, or even take a boat out to fish and sightsee at no extra cost. Dean and Suzie are awesome hosts and were on site every day. I’m already checking my calendar to reserve a spot next year.

Relaxing holiday on the water

We had a relaxing 4 nights at this property. It was super clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. I spent a lot of time just sitting on the covered balcony and watching the water, taking photos of the pelicans and anhingas. The moon rose directly in front of us and I got some nice photos of that, too. We didn't use the boat or fish or even sit on the dock so I can't comment much on those. The location was great for checking out spring training, swimming in the Gulf, hanging out in Tarpon Springs, exploring Safety Harbor, and much more. There was a very nice Publix just a few minutes drive away, as well as many small restaurants. The owner was friendly and communicative. I would rent this house again.

Amazing

Very pretty, Clean, and Great communication with Dean. Had fishing rods, bikes, beach chairs, etc. Everything you would need to have fun. You could walk or ride bikes to everything you would need. Quiet neighborhood and very pretty. Would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to stay here again.

Waterfront Bliss

We loved our stay at Captains Quarters. Dean was a wonderful host. He was very attentive to all our needs. He gave us some great suggestions on placed to eat and things to do. He was kind enough to take us out on the boat. It was beautiful being out on the water. Thanks for taking us out Dean!! We found everything to be as advertised or better. The beds were extremely comfortable. The water pressure was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and the living space was very comfortable. With all that being said the real draw is the outdoor space. Being on that canal was truly amazing!! We saw manatee and dolphins from our porch. We watched pelican land and feed every morning. We were able to go on daily walks over the bridge to Honeymoon Island. There was plenty of places to go eat and shop in walking distance. It was a short car ride into downtown Dunedin. The town was wonderful! This was our 1st time in Dunedin but definitely won't be our last!! Thanks Dean!

Cute, well furnished condo in nice location.

Definitely will go back to Dunedin and will look for availability at this condo. Everything on this property was great, except the boat seemed old and we had some issues with the boat engine.
