The breakfast was very poor. Bacon was so burned it was unrecognizable, gravy watered down with no taste. Milk tasted like it was powered milk. Hotel is in poor location, no dining within walking distance.

Everything was fine till my second night when I was ready to sleep and I found a cockroach under my pillow, they changed my room but I couldn’t sleep because I was afraid to find another one.

We rented a room with the jetted tub and the jets didn't work. The weekend was supposed to be a romantic get away for us and it was disappointing. We went and spoke with front desk and he offered no help and wasn't even apologetic that we spent money expecting what we paid for. We own 3 businesses and I would have never expected a customer to be out money due to our oversight. I get it that it happens but it certainly wasn't our fault. So be Leary when you go to rent the jetted tub room and only a few are left and you are arriving late evening.

Staff was super friendly and nice. I rented the jetted tub room and that was one of my main reasons for choosing this property. However the jets were weak. And the bed was really hard. I would give a higher rating if the beds were at least bearable.

Our room was only cleaned twice during our 12 day stay...even after we notified Abergn at the desk about this problem...also, the room was very dated, old, and tired, with insufficient amenities. For example, there was no mirror and surface where makeup and hair could be done...the fridge had a broken freezer with no door and 2 inches of frost all over it...the alarm clock always rang at 6 a.m. no matter what time we set it for. Our room had a connecting door to the room next door and we could hear their television through the door. The bed pillows were decrepit...as were the duvets ...not sure if or when they were ever washed...the bathroom was right out of the 1950's...no counter space for toiletries...we ran out of soap, clean towels, kleenex, and toilet paper and had to request these items since there was no cleaning schedule that was followed...even when the 2 room cleanings occurred it seemed as if the sheets weren't changed...they just made the bed...the pool was clean, but most of the only 8 chairs around it were broken...the one table was covered with cigarette burns...the breakfast was passable, although the staff told us that it used to be much better...actually Burger King serves better food...the carpeting in the room was probably the original, judging by the feel of it, and most likely not cleaned very often, if ever...not sure why we were put in a handicapped accessible room...we're not handicapped and didn't request this.

BED BUGS! Our room had beg bugs that bit my family and caused sores that became infected for which we had to seek medical treatment including antibiotics and procedures to treat the infections. The staff transferred us to another room and when we asked for a refund they have been giving us the run around saying a manager has to do but the manager is always unavailable. Contacted Expedia for assistance and so far they have not been willing to provide a refund either. Do not stay at this hotel that had bed bugs when we were there and thinks that it is ok to give you the run around after when you are asking for compensation.

The reviews are too kind for this property. I checked in but the hotel smelled extremely smoky as soon as you walked in and the rooms smelled horribly of mildew. I felt sick within 30 minutes of being there. Rich was kind and helped with my request to change rooms, however the additional room he had also smelled and the bathtub faucet was leaking. His solution to my problem was that he could spray “smoke out” in my room. You can tell this was a run down hotel that got a “facelift” with a fresh coat of paint and updated bathrooms. It was not very clean and was extremely stinky. He could not offer me a refund and it was so bad that I left anyway. I only stayed for about 30-45 mins. I stopped at a gas station to grab a water on the way to find another hotel and when I got back in the car it smelled terribly of smoke and mildew from just that short amount of time. I had to shower and put my clothes in plastic bag to get rid of smell. I picked this hotel as it was close to my conference and was just for one night. I do not recommend. Find another place!

Hotel was convenient for visiting Tropicana Field. Friendly staff. Quick check-in and check-out process. Rooms could use some updating. Due to the carpet in the rooms there is a musty smell. Otherwise clean. Close to plenty of chain dining options, movie theater, and shopping.

The1st room that I was assigned was dirty with hair all over the floor and shower so after being on hold for 20 minutes with the front desk they asked me to come get the key for a different room. The 2nd room that I was sent to was actually already booked to someone else so I had to go back to the front desk to get a 3rd room key. The lady at the front desk made zero effort to apologize or offer any compensation. After about 15 more minutes of standing in the lobby with ALL my stuff, I was given a 3rd room key to "TRY'. It finally worked... The morning of check out, I went to the elevator to leave and it was "OUT OF ORDER"... As several elderly people were leaving at the same time, I felt it necessary to help them with their luggage being that it had to be carried down 3 flights of stairs... OVERALL---- I will NEVER book with this location again!
