Family Fun in St.Simons

Lovely spot to stay on SSI

I stayed here with a large family group (parents, me and my husband and two kids, my sister and her husband and baby). Everyone told me how great the house worked out for our group. Everyone got their own space a bit away from other folks (sister and family downstairs, me and my family on the main floor, my parents upstairs) and there was a lovely huge open living space for us to cook and congregate in, also a lovely screened in porch where we ate dinner each night, and the kids had a blast with the pool. This property is a short walk from the village where you can eat out, visit the lighthouse, go to the miniature golf course & swim park in the summer. There’s also a nearby park with a great playground and tennis courts. We love being able to walk places and leave the car at home.

May-June stay

The house was not fully clean. Hair in the showers, dead cockroach on the stairs. Small items were broken - plug covers in the kitchen, downstairs door handle, toilet flush. We were given the wrong internet log in so had no service for 3 days. The trash from the previous stay was full and not picked up till day three. The outside area is dirty - not enjoyable to be sat out there. The property and location are great. Management service were to slow to reply and there are just small things that need to be fixed or cleaned and it would be 5 star.

Needs a lot of attention

Needs a lot of maintenance! Was told we could use the two garages but neither opened, tried outside keypad and inside button. Was told maintenance would be right out to fix them but didn't show up. Outlets in one of the bedrooms didn't work, ice maker didn't work and had a hole in rhe bucket so when you opened the freezer ice fell out, ceiling fan in down stairs bedroom didn't work. While we were gone maintenance came to address these issues but nothing was fixed and never heard anything from Alex as to the outcome. Shower heads were awful and need to be soaked in something (CLR) to remove scale. Screen porch needs attention, filthy ceiling fans, lots of spider webs and leaves on screens that can easily be blown off between guests. Large area on door with paint peeling off, wouldn't take 5 minutes to repair. The pool walls and floor looked green, not sure if it was stained or algae, needs a good pressure washing. On a positive note, the house was nice, large kitchen, pantry for food, large island, big table for all 8 of us and a large comfortable screen porch for gathering.

Girls' weekend getaway

A great place for a family getaway. Lots of room, big kitchen and living areas, and 5 bedrooms. Walking distance to the Village and lots of shops, restaurants, playgrounds and beaches. The front porch with rocking chairs and a bench swing were wonderful. St. Simon's is a great spot for a family vacation. The owner and the management company were very responsive with all questions.

Great House close to the beach and town

Our family had a great time at your home. The heated pool was a hit with the whole family. Being so close to the beach and the downtown area was great. We walked the beautiful neighborhood every day. It was great to be able to bring our furry friends. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids especially enjoyed the upstairs bunk room. We will definitely rent again.

Great Property for Relaxation and Convenience

Watermark was just what my family needed. Conveniently located to the village, parks and the beach. Great place to relax and just chill. The pool was great entertainment for the kids and shaded a good part of the day. The management company was very responsive to anything that came up. Plenty of space for our family.

Family get away

We booked the property for a week long family trip. Total of 9 people ranging for 70s - almost 2. The house had everything that was needed plus some. Loved the majority of the rooms had king beds! The location could not have been beaten! Couple minute walk to the beach and downtown. Kids and adults loved to be able to jump in the pool to cool down or before dinner.

Great Place on Saint Simon's!

This was an amazing house that accommodated our party of 12 most comfortably. The house was exactly as pictured; spacious, clean and well-stocked with appliances and amenities such as shampoo, soaps and such. The check-in check-out was easy, and the location was perfect! It sits in a quiet neighborhood that is within walking distance of all the attractions on the island, including shops, restaurants, the lighthouse museum and the pier. Ryan was responsive in our communications and accommodating. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting a spacious, clean and convenient place to stay when visiting St. Simons.

Beautiful St. Simons Home

We stayed here for a week with our daughters and their significant others (+ one baby). The house is beautiful and the 4 king sized beds were great. The pool is absolutely lovely with lots of floats. The house is a 5 minute walk to the beach where we spent every morning. Due to the Covid-19 issues we could only enjoy a couple of outdoor venues but we did do carry out from The Porch (great Nashville style hot chicken) and Southern Soul BBQ. We also enjoyed the outdoor area of Barrier Brewing for happy hour. Overall the house is exactly as pictured and was extremely clean. We would definately book again!

Spacious and nice neighborhood

Property could use some maintenance. One bathroom toilet would keep running and the faucet in that bathroom also had water run under the bottom of the faucet handles into the sink. The grill didn’t work and the toaster didn’t work either. We had to call twice about the heating, however they were very prompt to fix it. Also, be aware the heated pool is an extra charge and you have to pay for the whole week.

Overall nice property, few deficiencies in master bedroom and bath namely lighting, seating ( for makeup etc), mirrors. Very inconvenient arrangements for closing garage doors ( no remotes and only one keypad with no directions)

Space for everyone

We rented this house for Thanksgiving week with my in-laws and 2 nieces. The house is in a great location that is convenient to the beach and village areas. There is a very nice screened-in porch off the back that overlooks the pool and having the heated pool (extra $) was a great decision to keep the girls busy when the weather wasn’t great. We appreciated the abundance of board games to use when there was downtime as well. The house is large and spacious with plenty of room for the 6 of us although the bedrooms and bathrooms do have a strange layout. It was fine for 2 couples and 2 kids but would probably not work for multiple couples or families that don’t like to share small bathrooms and closets. Streaming tv and Wi-Fi worked great to watch football games and movies. Overall, we had a nice week with family and Lighthouse vacation rentals was quick to response and easy to communicate with.
