Extended weekend away

We took a long weekend for my daughter’s birthday and loved staying here! The house was perfect and very close to the beach! They had everything we needed. We will definitely come again!

Great location! Super clean!

Great location to pool and beautiful beach and restauants. The house was immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable with great linens. I don't normally cook on vacation because the kitchens are usually sub par for cooking this the kitchen was amazingly stocked.

Great stay!

Came for a family getaway and was so pleased with Water Lily Cottage. Worked well for our family- communication from the hosts was prompt and we had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. Loved that each room had its own bathroom. Short walk to the beach and loved all the places to hang out on the porches. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Perfect location for some beauty while we waited for our daughter to have her first baby! Love that you can bike around the island. Property was very nice and we would stay again.

The entire process - from booking the house to booking bikes - was seamless. The pool is an easy walk or bike ride away, as are restaurants. Loved the house, especially the porch!! Would absolutely recommend.

Great place to stay on St. Simons

Water Lily Cottage is a great place to stay to enjoy St. Simons Island. It's close to the beach, close to the beautiful salt marshes, close to restaurants and shops. It has lots of space and very well equipped. The management company (Lilmar) is responsive and helpful.

A wonderful long weekend

Fabulous property exactly as depicted in the photos. The pool and access to the beach are great. It’s a drive to anywhere else but the house is so comfortable we were just happy to enjoy the comforts and relax!

We had a wonderful trip. The cottage was very clean and the management company superb. The cottage was extremely well-stocked and had several thoughtful touches! Even had kid-sized dishes and cups! We will definitely be back!

Excellent stay. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well appointed. Short walk to the beach. Property management was responsive when a minor incident occurred during our stay (unrelated to the home). Would definitely stay at this property again.

We enjoyed the layout. Mom & kids on 1st floor, us on 2nd. Nice kitchen, thanks for the coffee makers, filters, and k-cups. Short walk to beach.

Perfectly Wonderful

We had a wonderful time. Very close to the beach, next to the St. Simons WWII museum, close to shops and restaurants. It was very clean and inviting. We cooked one night; the kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials including some extras. We will be back, thank you.

Family get away

We enjoyed our time at St. Simon’s. The cottage was perfect for our family. The only difficulty we had was It was frustrating many things were not open due to low season. The restaurants don’t take reservations which was a pain since we had 7 people.

Comfortable and well equipped

We were all comfortable with each bedroom, living area and decks. Kitchen was better equipped than any home lease we have used. Oven so clean, I hesitated to use. Towels were so fluffy & soft! Beach supplies were also made available.

The beds and pillows were comfortable which is rare. Location great. Appreciated the effort to build a house like our great grandfather’s beach house. Nostalgia. One arm chair slightly broken. Someone had tried to glue it. Not a problem though. RM RM

Amazing

Fantastic property in a terrific beachside neighborhood. We enjoyed the more remote location within the development, a bit farther from the beach but quieter marsh views. All properties look at too many large SUVs. It would be great if they offered remote parking and encouraged everyone to walk/bike the neighborhood. Fantastic management company operates with military precision. Best for immediate families of 5 or 6. More will be uncomfortable. We loved the flipped layout with living spaces upstairs and bedrooms downstairs but may be challenging for less mobile folks. Pools are OK. We will return!

Exceptional property! We loved the Water Lily!

This house provided the perfect home away from home for our family of 6 during our St. Simons Island vacation! The house was extremely clean and was equipped with everything we needed for the week. We ate several meals at the cottage and the kitchen was stocked with all the basics and many additional items you would not necessarily think of a rental property having, but were very useful! The house was very comfortable and beautifully decorated (NOT over the top “beach house” themed like many properties seem to do and can be quite tacky). Not having to pack beach towels and chairs was great as these were also provided by the property. The location is a short walk to the pools and then beyond to the beach, so easy to go back and forth without having to drag a ton of sand into a vehicle!! The management company was very responsive and quick to answer any questions and make sure we had everything we needed for an exceptional stay. We definitely plan on returning to St. Simons and would stay at the Water Lily Cottage again for sure!!
