Unique and comfortable

We were lucky enough to time our visit so that the dogwood trees framing the pond were in full bloom making a glass of wine and conversation on the deck in the evening a daily ritual. The house was clean and comfortably furnished. The beds were awesome! We did get turned around finding the place the first time - they weren’t joking when they say cell coverage is a bit spotty!

Cool place

Lovely cottage in the woods. Clean, roomy, lots of storage, good water pressure in shower, owners accessible, nothing missing that we needed. Were too busy to use the spa amenities but it looked like a cool place to enjoy a relaxing spa experience. Would recommend arriving during daylight as it’s hard to see where you’re going in the dark. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Great Getaway

White Lotus is a great place to get away. It's not a far drive from the DC area, and close to wineries and hiking. There's plenty to choose from on the property, too! The Pond View room was exactly as expected. The bed was particularly comfortable! The reservation engine had a hiccup and we did not receive checkin instructions. A quick message to the owner and we were all set in moments. Highly recommend for friends and couples.

Beautiful property, accurate pictures. Hosts were helpful and attentive to questions regarding check-in. If you need two bedrooms make sure you specify. Hosts helped us quickly access the second bedroom upon arrival and made sure we were settled in.

Amazing!

Peaceful, relaxing, and near to everything. Will definitely be back. We definitely have the privacy we need and still being near everywhere we need to be. The drive is 30 mins to Shenandoa, 1 hr to Luray Cavern and 30 mins to Monticello. We went to winery around as well. Resort is very responsive. Our car is awd and has its own navigation so it worked out fine for us. No cellular service but wifi is great.

Fantastic getaway

I came to this property for some r&r close to home and I was blown away! The bed was likely the most comfortable bed I've slept in decades and the view from the expansive bedroom window was picturesque. The grounds are unique and definitely worth exploring. The property management were very responsive and accommodating aswell. I'm definitely planning and looking forward to a future stay for the winter.

Overall we really enjoy the peaceful environment. The bad part about this experience is that we were not able to enjoy the deck or sit there for a long time, because of the bees that were in the corner of the deck.

Accommodations worked for our need to be in the area and bring our dogs. Beds were great and rooms were clean, water pressure and hot water in shower with 4 people was great. Grounds were interesting and peaceful and we had a bonfire one night with nearby family which was great. However, essential supplies were very limited. Started with two rolls of toilet paper for 4 people 4 days- had to resort to tissues on our final day. Had one trash bag and no directions on what to do with a full bag. Kept it in the house and used grocery bags for trash the last day and a half. There were only two small juice glasses or coffee mugs. One cereal bowl and knives that didn’t really cut. Spending about 35 on some houseware items would help much. Also did not figure out that the only tv in the back bedroom would work only if the light switch was on. A note taped on the tv would’ve solved this as we watched a sporting event in our cell phone instead. Still enjoyed the place- just needs a little refresh in some of the set up.
