The hot tub and fire pit were the perfect end to our day of hiking. The cabin also has loads of windows and excellent views into the forest, so it's very nice to wake up to.
Loved the Box Car Cabin! It was the perfect location to visit many different trails for hiking, kayaking adventures, and much more! The hot tub was the perfect way to relax after a day of discovering the Red River Gorge trails.
This little cabin was perfect for our small family fathers day celebration. The space was comfy and well stocked with everything we needed. The host was very responsive with any questions or concerns we had. The lights out back created a wonderful atmosphere at night and the hot tub was very relaxing! We would definetly consider staying here again.
We were very happy with our stay overall. It was just as advertised. The only improvement I would consider would be the mattress. It was too soft for us, but that is just an individual preference. Very clean, especially for a pet friendly cabin. Would recommend to others.
The Box Car Cabin was cozy, clean, and spacious. The lights, chairs, and picnic table in the back were a nice touch. The kitchen was missing a few items (toaster, wine opener), but besides that was well stocked with cooking equipment and utensils.
There is a lot of construction going on in the area, but didn't bother us too much. The private hiking trails within walking distance were a huge bonus!
We loved being able to hike all day, and have a cozy place to return to in the evening. All items needed for a hearty breakfast and a grilled dinner! Kitchen is well equipped and we were grateful for the dish soap, laundry detergent for our hiking clothes and the three rolls of toilet paper! Beds were comfortable and cozy, everything was incredibly clean. Neighborhood is quiet and relaxing while being close to all the activities. Enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub after a long day of hiking! Can’t say enough great things about this place!
The parking was very good for the box car.The box car was vey clean and had plenty of room for 3 peopleThe hot tub was very relaxing after a long day hiking.
Another great Gorge couple's getaway with these hosts. The Box Car was cozy, with the garden offering both convenience and a measure of privacy around both the fire pit and hot tub. It's a much more modern cabin than the last one we chose, which was great. This is not a complaint, but visitors should be advised that the entry into the property is an extremely steep, one lane concrete road. If your car is underpowered or lacks AWD/4WD, it will prove challenging.
The cabin was as described in the advertisement. Communication was excellent. The few things we needed were provided immediately. It was a very comfortable stay. The only concern we had were the sheets in the main bedroom. They were very piled and uncomfortable. We enjoyed our stay .
This was the sweetest little cabin. Super clean and private still had some of the modern conveniences but you knew you were off grid. The drive up the hill was frightening at first but we got used to it and all was good. The hot tub was great and the fire pit too. Thanks for the wood. We bought some, didn’t realize it would be provided.

Went for our honeymoon for a couple days and it was perfect! Highly recommend this to anyone for any occasion. Going back again really soon!
The property was in an amazing location. Everything we wanted to do was just minutes away. The house was well appointed and very clean. Though the house did not have wifi, I had full 5G bars (T-Mobile) and we just used a phone hotspot for the TV, not that we watched much. The gorge, locals, and hiking were amazing. We also loved the crystal kayaking (book well ahead). I would stay in this cabin again.
The cabin was clean and well equipped. The location was perfect and the on property hike to not one but two natural arches was a huge bonus! The outdoor area with the fire pit and hot ton was just what we were looking for to unwind. My one and only suggestion for management would be to upgrade the mattress and sheets.
We recently stayed at this beautiful box car cabin. We were celebrating our anniversary and chose this cabin for the train theme, as we got married on a train. We loved all the big windows that made you feel like you were part of nature in every room. The cabin was very clean, kitchen supplies were appropriate, and check-in was super easy! Our favorite thing was enjoying the outdoor jacuzzi. It was very clean. The outdoor bistro lights were the perfect touch for ambiance. We didn’t utilize the fire pit, but it was nice with the picnic table nearby. The location was perfect. It’s within a couple miles of all the hiking trails and the tunnel(very cool by the way) We did some hiking and visited a nearby winery. We’d love to stay here again and highly recommend it!

First, it's not brand new. The deck is weathered and the hot tub control panel is missing half of its protective cover. Directions to the cabin could include more details. The cabin itself was fine. Not much counter space so cooking was limited. The grill is like one you'd fine at a public park. Bring your own charcoal. Buying it locally is expensive. The hot tub was a disappointment. Only half the jets worked and then only on low. On high the power kicked out after about 10 minutes. Better than nothing, but the hot tub was one of the reasons for picking this rental and it barely delivered. Would probably book with this com0pany again, but not this unit.

Safety Concern
The stay was amazing until the last night. We were outside in the back when two men walked in on us at 9pm AND THEY USED OUR CODE to get in. They claimed it was a double book. We then called the host to get clarification and to have our code changed due to safety concerns. They said they were going to send someone out to change the code. Nobody ever came. After 2 hours we just left because we didn’t feel safe as women staying there by ourselves with men out there who had our code. This was a safety concern and an absolute killjoy to our whole booking. It was a bachelorette party with the last night (same night as incident) being the main night. Wouldn’t stay here again personally.
