“Do not stay here if you value your safety or privacy. Front desk staff duplicated our room key and handed it over to an unauthorized stranger couple. We only discovered this catastrophic security failure because the couple who walked into our private room were honest enough to tell us what happened—the hotel staff and tracking systems had absolutely no idea they had compromised our room.When we confronted the manager, her response was shockingly dismissive and entirely unacceptable. “We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. Everything was spotless and beautifully presented, and the heating was already on when we arrived which made it feel instantly welcoming. The host communicated brilliantly throughout and made everything very easy. The cottage had every amenity you could need, with thoughtful touches like coffee, tea, biscuits, milk, and even board games. The location was perfect as well, right next to the pub. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!”
