Waterfront Cottage Near Westerly Beaches And Mystic Wineries

This 2 BR, 1 BA cottage is built into the side of Wequetequock Cove in Stonington, CT. Your family and dining room over look the water as if you are on a ship! The cottage is located on an owner occupied plot full of apple trees and beautiful views. With ample outdoor space to enjoy every season of New England sunsets! Recently renovated with new windows and siding, this cozy spot is perfect for a year round vacation on the water! The cottage rental includes access to the fire pit and outdoor ping pong areas as well as access to seasonal kayaks and paddle boards and water access for all of your activities!

We do not recommend d swimming in the cove, but it’s great for kayaking, fishing and more!

Quaint Cottage Not to Be Missed

This property is a secluded cottage that is so close to so many things to do. Right on the water with a gorgeous view. The property owners are right on site and are very easy to deal with. Any questions or recommendations and they will help! I can't wait to head back to this cottage again for a future trip!

Absolutely adorable home in a cute neighborhood

This cottage is charming and perfect for a small family or a couple. The water view is wonderful and offers tons of opportunities to view ducks and geese, as well as people driving by in their boats. There are cute chipmunks galore and a local owl that loves to serenade you at night ☺ The owners are very nice and super responsive and, though they live on the grounds in the main, larger house, they are hardly noticeable most of the time. The living room and dining room get tons of natural light and the place warms up quickly in the evenings when you need the heat on. Mystic CT is only 10 mins away, so there are many great restaurants and cute shops nearby, and we enjoyed the convenience of having a washer and dryer, wifi, and flat screen TV in the home. Just two small things that could be improved. The floors and the windowsills could be cleaner (there were tufts of dog hair behind the couch and lots of dust in the wells of the windows) and it would go along way if the towels and washcloths were replaced with new ones. The current ones have seen better days. Oh – and just know that the refrigerator is a bit small and the kitchen is too with not much counter space so you might have to make a few trips to the grocery store and take turns in the kitchen if there are more than two of you staying at the place. But those items are very, very minor and didn't bother us given the terrific location, comforting home, and super owners. We had a lovely, relaxing stay and would go back in a heartbeat!

Beautiful setting. Friendly hosts. Loved being able to just put my kayak in the water and go to Sandy Point Island. So much to do in the area . Early mornings at duBois Beach. Easy bike ride into Mystic. Abbott's in Noank is close. Watch Hill is nearby. Lots of great restaurants in the area.

Great long weekend getaway

My husband and I were looking for a place on the shore to take his mother for a long weekend. We found this place and were so glad we did. It was perfect! It checked so many boxes! It was affordable, a convenient location close to restaurants and other activities, it allowed us to bring our dog and it was right on the water! What more can you ask for? Even though you are essentially in the owner's backyard, we definitely did not feel like we were encroaching on their space or they in ours. Caity was great and very responsive as well, which is always helpful. Although the house is older, you can tell it is well-loved and we felt completely at home and hopefully it was obvious to the owners that we tried to treat it as such. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Cute Cottage

Serene stay for 3 nights. So peaceful. The firepit was fun for smores and the dock was a good crabbing spot. I love that we could bring Ruby with us. The cottage was very comfortable. It's got the old fashion door handles and locks, pretty varnished moldings, beds were comfortable. It sits literally on the water.

Everything was just as described in the listing. No issues at all. Cozy cottage right on the water with excellent outdoor space for relaxing. When the tide comes in you can smell the ocean. Very responsive owners. Just perfect.

Lovely cottage!

Wonderfully situated cottage right on the water! Cozy and well-equipped, and Caity was always responsive, although we recommended the owners stop in to take a look at some things: the bathroom has old fixtures, and the shower handle pieces would fall off every time we showered. We couldn't get the regular TV to work and instructions listed were outdated. Also, check-out time on the VRBO listing and what was emailed to us says 10:30am, but in the cottage it says 10am. These are minor things and didn't take away from enjoying our stay. We'd definitely come back!

Wonderful, relaxing stay

Such a wonderful, beautiful and relaxing stay. The house was incredibly clean and well kept. The location could not be more perfect. The house sits right on the water. Every day my friend and I drank coffee on the porch and hung out down by the water. Four days here felt like a week. Very relaxing and peaceful. Caity and Pete were wonderful and kind hosts with very easy communication. I highly recommend staying here. It’s only a few minutes from Mystic and Westerly RI. I would love to come back in the future.

Lovely views of water from inside cottage with access to kayak and paddleboards. Kitchen is small but well equipped. Friendly owners live next door and gave us privacy and space to enjoy dock area. Very convenient location yet also quiet.

Beautiful Setting

The cottage was beautiful and the setting like no other. Water views from all three sides of the main room. The accommodations were excellent, comfortable beds, large bathroom and great kitchen. Lots to do and explore in the cove.

Charming cottage in a great setting

We had such a nice time! This is a nice, quiet location but just minutes from 'downtown' Stonington and a few more to Mystic. Everything was just great - comfortable bed, wonderful location and nicely equipped (a Keuring AND a drip coffee maker - your choice!) The three-way view out the living and dining rooms, right on the water. is beautiful - the pictures in the listing can't do it justice. Caity is fabulous! she went out of her way more than once to make sure we had what we needed. I highly recommend!!

Comfortable, relaxing, beautiful view

The cottage is so convenient to so many things to do and see. We stayed for 4 nights and was part of our fly/drive bucket list. Close to MystIc, Casinos, Museums, Historical Mansions and more. Would love to come back again from South Carolina. Caity was very welcoming and kept in touch when we had a question. Highly recommend this cottage.

We had a great stay at the lovely cottage. Caity and Pete were great hosts! The cottage was in a great location - close to shops, restaurants, and wineries. It had incredible views of the cottage that provides a quite and relaxing weekend away from our busy lives. We would definitely stay there again!

Lovely location for relaxing

I felt like we had a very relaxing quiet retreat. The cottage is right on the water about 2 miles from the town of Stonington and not far from Mystic about a 11-minute drive. All we heard was the sound of birds and an occasional train. The place is comfortable with a very comfortable bed and furnished well. We had everything we needed and I enjoyed sitting out on the porch and the lovely water views from the living and dining room. It was also a plus to be able to bring my dog. Mystic is very dog friendly. Stonington doesn't have many outdoor resteraunts. you can really bring a dog to- but then again, the dining room at this cottage with the water views were so nice we just brought back food to eat there. There is a winery down the road which allowed us to bring the dog in the back. And you can rent kayaks at the place or paddle boards. I definitely recommend the place for a nice quiet scenic retreat it is quite lovely.

We Can't Wait to Return!

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at this Stonington Cottage. The area was so peaceful yet so convenient - the best of both worlds. We so enjoyed Mystic yet equally enjoyed the ease of life at the cottage. I highly recommend this property!

LOVELY!! Pretty, quiet, private, beautiful views, close to all.

SO CUTE! Would definitely visit the property again! Views were amazing. So peaceful & relaxing. You can see water from all windows in front of the house. Only con, no AC in 2nd bedroom, not even sure there is an outlet for one. Luckily cool breeze and living rm AC cools everything down. Also, you pay for cleaning service but are asked to strip beds, which is new & a little off-putting, but only for a second. Also, some throw pillows/sleeping pillows could definitely be replaced, but this is just my being picky for the sake of this review. REALLY nice experience, helpful hosts, beautiful property, adorable home & again, we would come back again for sure. Also would highly recommend!

Perfect Cottage on the Cove

Had a great five days in this cottage on the cove. Loved looking out on the water, relaxing on the porch, cooking in the well-appointed kitchen, and hanging out on the dock. Took day trips to Napatree Beach, Mystic, Westerly RI, and Stonington Borough. The place was very clean and updated. Owners were very attentive, but respected our privacy.

The perfect retreat

Lovely property, terrific hosts ! This beautiful cottage is a great place to get away from it all. The only way to be closer to the water would be on a boat. Comfortable beds and furnishings. Plenty to do in the area. My family also enjoyed kayaking in the cove and beyond. You can actually kayak to a winery!
