“The lodge and location was outstanding. Situated on Heron Lakes looking across one of the 6 lakes on site with stunning views. Great location to get to the coast and plenty to do on site with walked, bike trails and of course fishing! Great short break away and will be staying here again. “Checking was great, and the room was sufficient. However, when I went to use the shower in the morning, the bath had lots of debris, and gunk in it, presumably from the person who used it before. The carpet also hadn’t been cleaned, which put me off somewhat. The bedding did seem fresh, but I didn’t want to take a shower, or have a tea and coffee in the morning. The cleanliness really let this place down.”

“Loved my stay, this was my first time in Hull and the listing made me think this was going to be a nice mid range hotel in the city. I loved this hotel the entrance at the far end of the road. “A clean , comfortable hotel at a good price. Excellent staff and products. Room was clean and well appointed. “This hotel had obviously been a venue in a previous life so our bedroom was enormous and everything was brand new … bed, headboard, curtains, windows, bathroom, floor covering. The room was super clean which was all down to Veronica who had done a superb job. Staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We only saw a group of guys in the huge bar on Saturday night, otherwise it was very quiet. Free parking was definitely an advantage. Will definitely use it again next time……
