"A clean and well-stocked flat in a very convenient location. Great appliances that all worked. A clean, comfortable bed and comfortable sitting area. Possibly the best VRBO we have encountered. If we had to point out limitations we would say the shower is a little small and it was odd that there were only 3 dinner forks but both would be a little nit-picky considering the overall quality of the flat!"

Arundel House Hotel

8/10 Good

"Looks like when it was built it was very plush. The public areas are nice but i think some of the rooms could do with painting. Plenty of storage space in the rooms and proper wardrobes. All quite acceptable. Parking is a bit quirky it runs in a 24hour length but always from 11am in the morning, so depending on your time of arrival you will get less than that. There is a cost of £18 per day if u haven’t booked with the hotel. Still it is Cambridge. So all ok and quite a nice continental breakfast, but not very imaginative. Fine for a short stay and easy to walk into the city."

Wilde Cambridge City Centre

10/10 Excellent

"The room was clean and spacious, the kitchenette is a really useful feature, fully equipped for coffee, tea and cooking, so getting a cheap takeaway rather than going out works really well, and there is enough to cater for 4 people despite being a double room, Handy for having the kids around from their Uni digs! overall clean and modern, a few minutes walk from town and if you use castle hill carpark which is only 6 or 7 mins walk at under £10 a day all is well!!"

The Essex Golf and Country Club

8/10 Good

"Overall, the stay was ok. I was not a fan of the connecting door in the room that had no visible lock on my side, which made the stay slightly uncomfortable. The Spa could do with some work, with the sauna door blowing open every 20 seconds and gaps in the Steam room tiles creating cold drafts. The Breakfast was good, but I was never actually welcomed or spoken to. So there might have been things I missed that I was unaware of. That being said, it was a buffet style, so fairly self explanatory."

Holiday Inn Express Braintree by IHG

8/10 Good

"Lovely stay. We booked through hotels.com. Booking was easy. Staff at the hotel were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Room and hotel was clean and well maintained. My only comment would be the kettle in the room could do with descaling, this put me off abit that I wasn’t able to have my morning coffee."
