Overall it was a lovely experience . Staff was ok and bar service was really good . Beautiful place very family friendly . Only issue is the parking which I had to pay for extra while on their website it is not highlighted there.
Very walkable to the town center, but is in a relatively quite location.
Room was large for solo traveler, room was clean but there was moulds on the bedsheet which was very disappointing. Breakfast was ok
We did make a mistake in putting our 2 kids on the booking of a family room, but man on reception was very accommodating to us and solved our issue v quickly, which we hugely appreciated
Very quick stay at this hotel as we were visiting the theatre. Beds big and comfy, up to date tv kettle and mugs and shower gell /soap included Rooms nicely decorated and spacious for the money. Its an older hotel so has a few knocks and scratches. The ground floor recently renovated with smart decor chairs tables etc. We didn't eat so can't comment on food but believe that it was continental only. Great location for the town and reasonable prices.
The Grosvenor is very clean and comfortable with a very friendly staff. The property seems to have been updated recently so the carpet, furniture, wallpaper and decor were all clean, bright and attractive. The only problem during our stay was that England was going through an unprecedented heat wave that day and the hotel was not really equipped for that so we had a very hot night in our room. Otherwise, the staff was overall very friendly and the accommodations were great!
The Grosvenor Hotel now is back to where they used to be whence the were Best Western.
It has been tastefully refurbished with some nice touches.
Natasha has returned to reception after a period of years and the Happy Hour is ,IMHO, set at a sensible time.
Great location and even a six & a half hour wait for a 999 ambulance has not deterred me.

Nothing special about the hotel. The building is dated, strugfled to close windows. Biggest challenge is nonrampa for push chairs especially if you have room in the lower wing, you need to go up a flight of stairs and come down another flight to a different part of the building.
The breakfast was nice.
Onsite parking £9 cash! Weird. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. A fan was provided to assist with this heat wave and it worked ok, could have used a bigger one though. Happy hour was 9-11pm but there was never any bar staff to serve. True throughout the day too. Great location! Right on the edge of town and different from the usual cookie cutter hotel. This hotel had class and stood out. Good time overall and great breakfast!

Could be better, could be worse….
The hotel was ok, no more or no less than that. The pictures on the website were all of the newer bit of the hotel by the looks of it. Our room even said “old” on the invoice I signed.
Bed ok, room had good furniture but too much of it so barely room to move. Window to a fire exit that kept banging in the wind. Shower screen might as well have been wire mesh as water leaked everywhere and flooded the bathroom which looked to have been happening for a while looking at the water staining / state of the silicone.
It cost £70 for the night (excl parking), if I’d have paid much more I wouldn’t be happy.
Reception staff friendly and welcoming.

Massive regret.
Rammed full limited car park spaces. Had to wait for a space. Unaware of £9 parking fee. Reception simply replied “well, it’s not our car park anymore”. Brilliant.
Room was booked as “superior double” and was not remotely superior (not even a headboard LOL just pillows against the wall see pic) and was a twin. The room was boiling. The phone in room didn’t work so I walked back to reception to ask for a fan, “certainly, 10 mins it will be in your room”.
I went out. The sole reason people stay here I’m guessing is location, but there’s a premier inn even closer with a pub and paid parking facing it. Gutted.
2 hours later I returned to pick up a jacket. No fan, “we haven’t got any”. The room must have been 35c without exaggeration, no aircon and one small window.
I will never return. It’s basically a naff old b&b. For around 20 quid more I could have been down the road in a proper hotel.
Where do I start?! There is absolutely no way that this hotel is a 4 star, if it was up to me it would be a 2.. if that.
The car park is tiny, when I arrived there was no spaces so had to park at another one near by. When I checked into my room it not only absolutely stank of sick but it looked NOTHING like that photos. I booked a premium double room and the bed didn’t even have a headboard. The bathroom was so dated (all photos show new modern bathrooms) the carpets and walls were stained as well. I couldn’t stay in the room for more than 5 minutes because of the smell of sick. I complained and got changed to another room which is supposed to be a “upgrade” the only difference was the fact that the bed had a headboard and the bathroom was more updated. That evening we went to find their restaurant which we found that they don’t have!! Even though on their amenities on Expedia it says they do.
When I got to my room that night was the hottest room I have ever slept in. It had a tiny window that did nothing, I was sweating buckets all night had about 1 hours sleep. Called reception 5 times to ask for a fan and no one picked up.
I stay in different hotels 5 nights a week and this is by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Will never be staying here again!! DO NOT RECOMMEND
Staff were friendly. They held our bags for us after we checked out. Breakfast was thorough and excellent. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Will stay again.

Stratford central hotel
Bit disappointed with the condition of the hotel needs a bit of TLC ,shower wouldn’t work, noisy room on main road, cobwebs in window, loose fitting tap in bathroom, £9.00 per day car parking. No evening meal, breakfast OK.
Not too happy about having to pay for onsite parking, that was the start of it. The room was good but very very warm. Tried to turn the radiator off but that didn't work as rad was still hot. We travelled with a 1 year old child so didn't really want to trudge out in the rain for an evening meal but the hotel restaurant was closed so didn't have any choice. Came back for a drink but it was so expensive that we only had one and went back to the room.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean, comfortable, plenty of tea and coffee. Would be happy to stay again.
Great location, just two minutes walk from the centre of town and all the bars, restaurants and shops that Stratford has to offer. Fast, efficient check-in, easy and plentiful parking, pleasant staff who provided great breakfast reccommendations (the hotel is continental only at present), clean comfy rooms, decent shower...all at a competitive price. The bar is open late too. It's staffed by the front desk but minimal wait time for service. If returning, would try this place again first. Thoroughly good value for money
Nice size, modern and clean room. Hotel is well presented and well located as just a short walk to town centre. Radiator wasn't working in room so was given a plug in heater to use. Parking spots were all taken but parked in nearby leisure centre car park.
