Would thoroughly recommend this place to stay. The staff could not have been more helpful, good excellent as was the service. In a beautiful location would certainly stay there again
Excellent value as well
Stayed the night as wedding guests locally. Staff were fantastic and really friendly. We felt really welcomed! Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Our room was nicely furnished, clean and the bed was comfortable.
A great spot to explore the Cotswolds from. A highlight was the cows right outside on the common. Poached eggs were slightly overdone at breakfast but the omelette was fantastic.

All aspects of our stay was really good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and there was a nice choice of wines and beers. However, the bathroom was poor. The shower head had a make-shift fix to keep the head up which could not be adjusted. The towel rail was disconnected and hence the bathroom was very cold.

Breakfast was outstanding using locally sourced ingredients. Bacon and sausage particularly were excellent. Problems with heating and toilet not flushing but they were handled without fuss. We ate dinner on our first night and that too was very good.
Lovely stay in a beautiful location. Our room (2) had dual aspect windows, beautiful views, and to top it off, a four poster bed. We ate in the bar area in the evening and there was plenty of choice on the menu. Waitress was chatty and professional.

Traditional old Inn, with fabulous and helpful staff. Some rooms (we stayed at the cottage. top floor) were a bit tired looking. Nonetheless functional and clean.
We stayed at the inn for one night, and had a wonderful welcome from James . The breakfast was superb, as was the evening meal. Our room was comfortable. The Amberley is a beautiful building, set an a lovely location. We would stay again since this was a very restful location. The team at the Amberley are absolutely wonderful. Even tapped our door to remind us to come down for breakfast before we missed it. This is going the extra mile, as far as I'm concerned. I would go back for the breakfast, it was lovely. Thank You - Mark and Ally Flagg
Spotless room, silent nights sleep, lovely hilltop location. Goulash in the restaurant was superb (chef is Hungarian), Brekkie was also top notch with all types of eggs. I ate in a lovely nook with fire.
Very welcomming staff, nice hotel in a great location. Breakfast was really good and generous. We had dinner one night and it was really good and reasonable value.
Superb breakfast menu, excellent chef and warm welcome. Room was warm and bathroom was clean. Everything spoke of excellence. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will return. Housekeeping do an excellent job too.

The Amberley is a beautiful, atmospheric old building and the staff were courteous and very helpful.
The building does, however, need a bit more love and attention and some of the fittings are in need of repair. The food was a little uninspiring for the price and our room too small for anything other than a one night stay with very little storage space for clothes.
However the location was great in a lovely area and I would visit again.
