a short stay in paradise

This was the best vacation yet for my wife and me. The villa is fantastically located above the north coast of Bali. The equipment is on the highest level. The staff is excellent, especially Made and Yeni really looked after us from day one. Their cooking skills are phenomenal. The excellent driver Ketut can only be recommended. He drives safely and is absolutely reliable. The whole place is in top condition and even more beautiful than in the pictures. Will definitely book here again on our next Bali vacation.

Wonderful family stay

Seven of us stayed at this villa to celebrate an upcoming 70th birthday. Everything was magical from the clenliness of the villa, pool and gardens to the in house food options. The only (slight) negative is the hillside location means that a driver is needed to transport guests to the town or a restaurant. This makes the short excursion a bit expensive. We were expecting this so it was not really an issue. Overall a magnificent 7 days - we would highly recommend this Villa.

Bliss!

From the moment I walked in the front door, I felt like I was in heaven! Villa Dewi Sri is a masterpiece!! The grounds are exquisite, the decor is tasteful and comfortable, the views are breathtaking, and the staff was absolutely delightful! I was concerned that it would be too much home for one person, but the villa felt intimate and warm. It was perfect for my personal getaway retreat. Floating in the pool under the stars, moonlit massages, yoga in the gazebo, delicious meals, daily fresh coconut milk, deep meditation, waterfall hikes, and beauty everywhere made this an unforgettable retreat. I am deeply grateful to the wonderful staff, Ketut the perfect driver, and Ellis and Pascal for their hospitality. I will be back!

North Bali paradise

Where do I start! On arrival at the villa we were all greeted by the Warm friendly staff who showed us through to the Villa which I can honestly say took our breath away with the stunning infinity pool area which we spent lazy days around when we weren’t out on trips while Madee and Yenee made us lovely lunches and dinners. There cooking was so good we never bothered to go out to restaurants instead made the most of there lovely cooking and stunning setting of the villa. Ketut the manager organised any trips we wanted and our driver who we called K G was always there and waiting for us! Every member of your staff was so friendly and really made our vacation special. Thank you Pascal and Ellis for letting us stay at your beautiful Villa Kind regards Terry & family Ps if you ever decide to sell please give us first refusal 😀

Nice place but remote and not expected extra charges

We have a lovely vacation in Bali, one week at the end of August, warm weather and no rain. We stay at Vila Dewi Sri, quite a nice place with sea views and a swimming pool. The location is probably the worst feature of Vila Dewi Sri, to access the nearest beach or village you have to walk for over one hour through less than pleasant busy roads. We expected almost a “luxury” place, since the price we paid for one week was quite high (vrbo doesn't allow to disclose the exact amount), but it was not the case, a nice house it is, but I wouldn’t say more, we were requested to pay extra for things such as toilet paper, drinking water or using the washing machine... If you expect a well located high end house in Bali keep looking! We will certainly find somewhere else when we go back to Bali

We had a perfect stay at Villa Dewi Sri. Villa and surroundings are so beautiful and well kept. Everything matched to the description. We really enjoyed meals prepared by Yeni and Made. They were also really kind and helpful. So was all other staff members too. This is perfect paradise if you're looking for peace and place to relax in the most beautiful place. We really wish to return some day!

The property is just magic. The perfect getaway for a magical family holiday. Nine of us in total stayed for 10 days and we could have easily stayed another week. The staff are great, the Villa is spotlessly clean and the location is superb - the photos for this place do not do it justice. The arrival process including transfers from Denpasar were no issue and could not have been better looked after by their team. This was our first visit to Bali and our overall experience was brilliant. If you are contemplating booking a Villa in the Lovina Hinterland, look no further as this place is everything you could want for.

Supervilla maar toch geen 5*

Wij zagen de villa al van ver liggen. Een absoluut schitterende villa! We wisten meteen dat we qua onderkomen voor 4 nachten de juiste keuze hadden gemaakt met 10 mensen. Alles was keurig netjes, de kamers ruim en open opgezet, een fantastisch zwembad, mooie tuin, veel ruimte en niet te vergeten.. heerlijke luxe. Echter de ontvangst was wat lauwtjes maar werd wel aangegeven dat er een welkomstdiner voor ons bereid zou woden. Dat was aangename verrassing! Evenals het koude bier! Echter na het eten kwam direct de vraag wat wij de volgende ochtend als ontbijt wilden en meteen erachteraan wat het diner voor de volgnde avond moest zijn. Met zijn 10-en zijn wij behoorlijke eters en houden van de Indonesische keuken. Wat wij graag wilden bleek allemaal toch iets te veel van het goede te zijn. We hebben daarom maar simpel gehouden maar vonden houding van keukenpersoneel niet heel erg servicegericht. De volgende dag een prima ontbijt gehad. Wat een beetje onaangename verrassing was dat men ons vertelde dat we voor de koffie apart moesten betalen. Zijn allemaal geen werledschokkende bedragen maar geef dit van te voren aan en laat ons zelf de keus om of we Nescafe (gratis) willen of Nespresso (betaald) willen. Nu werd ons dit pas meegedeeld toen de Nespresso cupjes al op waren. Bij ontvangst hadden we reeds de Manager gemist maar deze kwam ons een dag later alsnog de hand schudden. Meteen even gevraagd of we via hem een excursie konden doen voor 4 uur. (Volgens de info.boeken zou dit voor 4 uur 400K zijn). Helaas werden we naar verkeerde attractie gebracht wat ver uit de richting was waardoor we alleen deze ene bezienswaardigheid in 4 uur tijd konden bekijken. Ook teleurstellend was dat de taxirit geen 400 K was maar 500 K. Opnieuw niks schokkends maar toch... Op zondag wordt er niet door personeel gewerkt. Er werd ons suggestie van restaurant gedaan die ons op kon halen van de villa en na het eten weer terugbrenegn. Dit hebben we gedaan. Bij aankomst in het restaurant bleek dit 1 van de duurste restaurant van heel Lovina te zijn. Helaas pasten deze (westerse) prijzen niet in ieders budget zodat we de groep hebben opgesplitst. Toch een beetje jammer dat dit van tevoren niet aangegeven is. Communicatie met personeel verliep niet echt heel lekker.. veel onduidelijkheid, veel uitleggen wat onze wensen waren maar ontbrak vooral aan servicegerichtheid. Kortom een topvilla maar service kan nog verbeterd worden.

Een prachtig verblijf gehad in Villa Dewi Sri. Een schitterend uitzicht vanuit alle posities bekeken. Niets was teveel voor de beide gastdames Yeni en Made. Ze maken alles voor je wat je maar wilt. Niets is hun te gek! De villa laat je wensen uitkomen. Nogmaals in een zin: het was een geweldig verblijf.

Deze Villa was echt boven verwachting. Het was brandschoon en prachtig. We genoten elke dag van het uitzicht. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en bescheiden aanwezig. We hebben vaak gevraagd of ze voor ons wilden koken. Ongekend wat, was zo heerlijk. Prima was ook de eigen taxi die we konden bestellen voor tripjes naar bezienswaardigheden. Het zwembad is ruim. We hebben vaak de masseuses laten komen. De huiskamer is ook heerlijk open, Maar ook de ruime opzet van de tuin en het terras gaf een sprookjes gevoel van weelde. Kortom een aanrader en we gaan zeker terug komen.

Villa met een schitterende uitzicht!

De villa ligt niet ver van het centrum van Lovina, zo’n 10 minuten rijden. De villa heeft 4 slaapkamers met elk een ensuite badkamer en toilet en allemaal voorzien van airco. De villa heeft een open woonkamer, keuken en eetgedeelte, waardoor je van het uitzicht kan genieten. Ook is er een grote tuin en zwembad. De staf, bestaande uit 5 personen zorgen goed voor je, je komt echt niets te kort! Massage in de villa is ook mogelijk! We komen hier zeker weer terug!

Fantastisch!!

Een prachtige plek! Luxe moderne villa met een grote open living met uitzicht op de prachtige tropische tuin, de rijstvelden, de bergen en de zee. Een heerlijk groot zwembad met diverse ligbedden en parasols en een loungeplek, waar je helemaal tot rust komt. Alles was er erg netjes en schoon en werd goed bijgehouden. Het personeel is geweldig, ze zijn erg vriendelijk, behulpzaam en zorgen ervoor dat je een onvergetelijke vakantie hebt. Het eten was super lekker, bereid met verse ingrediënten. Vanuit de villa kan je diverse exercusies ondernemen, eventueel met de chauffeur die veel kan vertellen over de cultuur en het eiland. De yoga, de cultuur, de excursies, de mensen, de omgeving en villa hebben geleid tot een onvergetelijke ervaring, die zeker voor herhaling vatbaar is!

Een prachtige villa in een prachtige omgeving

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad in dit geweldige huis! Genoten van de tuin en het zwembad en de gezellige sfeer die gecreëerd is door de eigentijdse maar toch ook Balinese inrichting . De villa is schoon, de bedden zijn prima en elke slaapkamer heeft zijn eigen mooie badkamer. Jenny en Madé hebben elke dag lekker voor ons gekookt. In alle opzichten ideaal. Kortom: boeken deze villa!

Fantastisch!

Wat een geweldige villa. Het ontbreekt je werkelijk aan niets. Vriendelijk personeel die je vakantie met hun kennis en kunde onvergetelijk maken. De villa is mooi, groot en brandschoon. De tuin is een paradijs op zich waar je verschillende plekjes vindt om heerlijk te genieten. Het zwembad is zalig koel met zelfs daarin ruimte om te genieten van het uitzicht! Deze villa op deze prachtige plek mag op geen enkele bucketlist ontbreken!

Een prachtige villa in een oase van rust

Een prachtige plek om tot rust te komen op Bali. De villa is op een goede manier ingedeeld en heel stijlvol ingericht met Balinese accenten. De 4 slaapkamers zijn praktisch ingedeeld (genoeg kastruimte) en de badkamer (met toilet) is ruim en goed onderhouden. Erg fijn is de dispenser met douchegel en shampoo en de aanwezigheid van een föhn. Buiten de slaapkamers om (die je ook open kunt zetten m.b.v. schuifdeuren), is de ruimte verder open. De slaapkamers zijn schoon, voorzien van een goede en snelwerkende airco. De eetkamer en de zitkamer zijn 'buiten', maar af te sluiten door rolluiken (bij regen). Hierdoor heb je steeds het gevoel buiten te zijn. De keuken is schoon en voorzien van genoeg faciliteiten. Vanuit de zitkamer en de eetkamer heb je een prachtig uitzicht op de tuin, het zwembad en de omgeving zoals beschreven. Het gehele complex wordt goed onderhouden. De dames die het huis schoon houden, de tuinmannen en de chauffeur zijn mensen die je vakantie compleet maken. Het zwembad ligt in een prachtige, onderhouden tuin met allerhande bloemen (o.a. orchideeën, bougainville ), bananenbomen en allerlei andere exotische planten, bomen en beelden. Je kunt er heerlijk zitten of rondlopen om even je privacy op te zoeken. Tevens zijn er spelmaterialen aanwezig om actief bezig te zijn. Het zwembad is ruim, schoon en goed van temperatuur. Lang genoeg om baantjes te trekken. De ligbedden zijn comfortabel en voorzien van parasol. Aan de andere kant van de villa is een overdekte ruimte om yoga of meditatie te houden. De plek is ideaal gekozen omdat er een wind waait. Kiest u voor een compleet pakket waarbij er voor u gekookt wordt, dan boft u. De meest verse, heerlijke maaltijden worden bereid door de twee dames. Ook erg leuk om mee te kijken hoe ze dat klaarmaken. Ideaal bij deze accommodatie is de mogelijkheid om excursies te doen met een eigen chauffeur. Er is een divers aanbod en onderweg leer je van alles over het leven op Bali. Ga ook eens lopend het dorpje in en maak contact met de aardige bewoners en zie hoe ze leven. Wil je naar het strand, dan moet je dit wel per taxi doen. Dit kan bij de villa geregeld worden en is niet duur. Een aantal voorbeelden van aanbevolen excursies: dolfijnentour, wandeling door een natuurgebied met meerdere watervallen, tempels, de rijstvelden en het vogelpark. De eigenaars van deze villa hebben een prachtige vakantiebestemming gecreëerd. Je komt er tot rust en het laat je drukke leven naar de achtergrond verdwijnen.

Excellent! Wounderful!

We stayed in Villa Dewi Sri with the family for two weeks ( 4 Kids and 2 adults). We had the most amazing time. The lovely chefs, Yenny and Made cocked amazing food everyday and became our friends. The drivers took us on great trips around the island. We will for sure be back!! Thanks for everything!!! Lotta, Pernilla, Ebba, Joel, Tilda and Viktor

amazing , worth spending on this property

the property is amazing. equipped with all luxurious necessity, with good care taking staff. worth spend the rent. transportation/Driver provided were very co operative. because of them the stay was wonderful and freedom full. Thank you Home away to suggest this property. Even the owner Mr Ellis made our tour more relaxed by giving guidance before reaching, and kept in touch with us whenever we needed. simply LOVED IT.
