「No WIFI at the room」

「As you drive up the building was beautiful. Sadly inside the picture is very different, a really tired and run down place. The rooms very basic, cracked tiles in the bathrooms, everywhere in need of TLC, sticky threadbare carpets, non existent WiFi and water pressure. Dinner a disaster microwaved or undercooked food, that then arrived cold. The staff were lovely. The hotel is no way near a 4 star experience. So dissapointing.」

「Great staff, restaurant and breakfast」

「Exceptionally pleasant and wonderful staff, Lovely big, very clean room. Food in the restaurant was very good. Would happily stay here again.」

「Right in the middle of town. Walkable to everywhere you need to go. Staff were very friendly. Room was basic but had everything we needed or wanted! Kettle in the room was great for some tea. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Would def stay here again if I come back to Darlington」

「This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August.」

「Unfortunately my wife had fairly bad illness during our stay, through no fault of the hotel, but I would like to praise the staff, especially the night manager for the assistance to transfer my wife to hospital.」

「The Croft Hotel is a absolute gem! From the moment you arrive, the warm and welcoming staff make you feel right at home. The rooms are spotless, beautifully appointed, and exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The highlight has to be the dining—the food is outstanding, crafted with fresh ingredients and full of flavour, complemented by a brilliant selection of drinks. Combined with its picturesque setting and relaxed, peaceful atmosphere, it’s the ideal spot for a relaxing getaway...
