The Cimon Residence offers its guests the possibility of a fantastic stay in Syracuse.

Residence Cimone is located on the second floor of a villa in the historic center of the city, but by the sea: from its terraces you can admire a breathtaking view, ranging from sea caves to the largest port and the island of Ortigia.

Is just 15 minutes' walk from Ortigia, Siracusa center.

Direct access to the sea via a convenient public staircase, you can reach on foot, or by electric bus, all the cultural points of interest.

For nature lovers, 500 meters from the Residence Cimone starts a bike path that runs along the route of the old railway; a path surrounded by Mediterranean flora, along the sea, leading up to the tuna fishery Santa Panagia.

The apartment was completely renovated in 2014, and consists of a bright and beautiful bedroom with window overlooking the sea, furnished with a double bed and equipped with air conditioning, heater and digital TV, private bathroom with large shower; There is also a fully fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge and freezer, which leads to the spacious terraces with sun loungers. And 'including the wi-fi.

Spacious accommodation directly on the sea. Commanding view from one of the two patios of the coastline punctuated by amazing sunrises. You have expansive outdoor living space to your own. The rooms were clean and efficient. The kitchen was well supplied and stocked with the things you would expect and need for making your own meals. Gas range top, full size, refrigerator / freezer with a nice eating area for four people. The bed was firm, but that is our preference. Key access and security was very good. A short drive to downtown and the historic district. Street parking was always available right in front of the building and was free. A rocky beach access is also adjacent to the property. A very restful and quiet neighborhood. There are no restaurants or retail to speak of close by but that did not detract from our three day stay. We had a great break in Syracuse, we would return to this property without hesitation.

Wir waren nun schon das 3. Mal in Syrakus und es war wieder schön. Kommunikation läuft reibungslos und offene Fragen werden direkt beantwortet. Die Einrichtung ist nach wie vor in die Jahre gekommen, aber dennoch ausreichend. Wir kommen wieder.

The view is stunning! Even in October, we were able to sit out a lot and even ate at night on the back veranda, looking at the moonlight on the sea. Inside the flat isn't fancy in any way and has a lived in feel (as does the area) but is clean and comfortable. No sofa, but we spent our time at the table or outside. Easy enough parking. 15 min walk to Otegia (fine at night, no worries at all) which is great for eating and exploring. Host was great. Would definitely return.

Emplacement parfait pour être au calme et garer la voiture gratuitement dans la rue mais tout de même proche du centre (15min à pieds et des bus toutes les 20min). Une vue à couper le souffle depuis les grandes terrasses (côté mer ou côté ville). Accès à la plage très appréciable car vraiment à 30sec à pieds. Attention plage rocheuse, prévoir les chaussures d’eau.En ce qui concerne l’intérieur du logement, il est plus ou moins fidèle aux photos. L’appartement est au 2ème et dernier étage, il fait chaud et la clim ne peut tourner que lorsque nous sommes sur place (à cause d’un système de clés) et est suffisante pour refroidir la chambre mais pas toutes les pièces. L’appartement, très bien équipé (vaisselle, rangement, produit d’hygiène) n’est plus de première jeunesse comme sur les photos (frigo qui se ferme avec un loquet, porte-fenêtre dont on voit le jour à travers, le robinet rempli de calcaire, une douche qui ne s’écoule pas, les parois sont 4 plastiques assemblés branlants).La literie et le linge étaient très propres, en revanche la vaisselle méritait un coup de nettoyage avant. Francesco a été très réactif, très aimable et nous a donné nombreux conseils, merci !

The main attraction is the incredible view. Loved sitting on the terrace in the evenings. There’s is also a swimming area right downstairs - which is great for sunrise swims. The area is lovely and quiet & building safe. The owner is very helpful, great with communication & very accommodating. While there are no shops on the door step - they are about a km walk away. Two lovely beaches with sunbeds only 400m in either direction from apartment, and lovely restaurants 400m away too. The apartment could do with a little maintenance… but I really loved my stay here. Thank you

Un appartement tres original avec une fabuleuse terrasse sur la mer proche d Ortigia

Nous avons passe 3 nuits dans cet appartement tres original. Tres calme, Une grande terrasse "sur la mer" côté Est pour les apéritifs avec vue sur Ortigia, une terrasse Ouest pour les peti dej. Un accès a la plage en bas de l immeuble pour la baignade. C est ce qu il nous fallait pour cette chaleur du mois de juin ( 30). A 30mn a pied d'Ortigia et des embarcadères. Nous n avons pris la voiture que pour visiter le parc archeologique.

Magical Terrace

This is a charming apartment with the most phenomenal terrace. The property is steps from the Ionian Sea. After a swim, we relaxed on the private terrace - it was heaven. We sat and enjoyed the view, morning, noon and night. We were treated to a full moon on a clear night which was a very memorable experience. Our host, Francesco, was very responsive to any questions we had. Staying in this home is a personal experience as you are interacting with the family that owns the home, not a corporation. It was a lovely experience. If you looking for a property where you can be mesmerized by the sea each day and spend peaceful hours watching boats, ships, see and hear waves crashing over rocks, this is the property for you. There is no better view to be had. Thanks to Francesco and his father for making our stay so enjoyable.

Un séjour très agréable

Merci a Francesco pour son accueil et ses bonnes adresses. Nous avons pu profiter de l une des deux terrasses , vue mer exceptionnelle, avec du mobilier pour se reposer ou déjeuner ou prendre un apertif ou café. Vue sur des palmiers et jardins , on entend les vagues et les oiseaux ! Facile de garer la voiture et c est gratuit. A 15/20 minutes à pieds du centre historique., pour nous c etait parfait !

2 fabulous terraces

We spent a very nice week in Francesco's apartment. We received a friendly welcome from him. There was always a parking space in the dead-end street. The furnishings and available space were sufficient for us. However, we chose the place for the terraces and the view was truly phenomenal on all sides. It was still very warm in October and the mosquitoes were active in the evening. If you want to sleep with open windows, it is best to bring a mosquito net, but there is also air conditioning. To visit the archaeological park and Ortigia we rented an electric bicycle from Greenbike. They brought the bicycle to our apartment and thanks to the bicycle we avoided traffic jams and parking problems in the center. Highly recommended.

Rooftop Heaven

I could not believe just how lucky I was when I walked into the little rooftop apartment. Beautifully bright, lovely size for just me (or a couple). Clean. A lovely size bathroom and bedroom… but the real win here are the two very large patios (we are on the roof of the building). Just a stone throw from the sea the balcony sits above the sound of waves and is greeted by the sunrise directly in front of you each morning. Absolutely stunning! And just a 15minutes walk to the main center. I would stay again! And again!

Für uns war es ein schöner Urlaub. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage und die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist einfach traumhaft schön. Es gab immer einen Parkplatz vor der Tür. Das Centrum zur Altstadt war in 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Leider war die Einrichtung etwas abgewohnt und auch einige Möbel defekt. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet.

Great view period.

The only thing good about this rental is the view. It is badly in need of a renovation and cleaning. The shower doesn’t drain and you have to keep turning the water off so it doesn’t overflow. My husband, in his 70s, slipped in the shower because it is so slippery from not draining. Below the sink the cupboard is rotted and stinks because of the drain leakingso badly. We had to wash dishes, pots, cutlery before using anything as things were dirty. I checked the mattress for bed bugs and there were crumbs of food along the piping of the mattress. The furniture is old. There is a small kitchen and a bed. The only other seating is outdoors. We have been traveling in Italy for a few weeks, in 5 different places, this was the worst. We couldn’t wait to get out. The location is quite a way from Ortigia, about a 30 minute walk. I would not recommend this place.
