「I loved staying at this hostel, as it had an awesome vibe. The hostel and town were like something out of Totoro. It is a nice quaint area and the hostel embodies this. The staff and owner bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. It was during the world cup, so they put all the games up on a projector. 「This hostel is very home-feeling, and you can chat with other people. The view is good. The dinner is delicious. Unfortunately the weather is bad when I had my trip. I would like to visit yufuin again and stay at this hostel next time. The only thing that need improvement is the mattress which is too soft and the hot spring seems not hot enough.」

「BAD! There has a gap between the window and the wall, wind can go straight through that gap into the room, and an airflow hit the paper window rack and the door, it made too noisy and very cold, i cant sleep all the night.」

「The staff were very friendly and flexible, especially with luggage storage and can communicate very well in English as well. The hostel is also very clean and has modern toilets. The location is conveniently close to many restaurants and hot spring places, so accessibility is great. Feel free to chat with the staff, they are always happy to make good conversation! 」
