You can tell that the entire location was very thoroughly thought and planned out to its beauty! We loved that the location had lots of nature, a pool, and breakfast included. The only thing that we didn’t like was that there were lots of red ants that were coming through the bathroom window all throughout the night. We would find them in the sink, toilet, and wall beside the bed.

We did not enjoy our stay at Baliyana lodge. The place was cute, but the hosts lacked hospitality. Upon arrival, the host screamed to look at the monkeys above our cabin and I lost balance and took a nasty fall and completely cut my leg and foot. The hosts were barely concerned and gave me a little ice but did not bother to check in on me. Then we went out for the night as it was New Years Eve and returned to a hot room ( muggy like someone had been im our room or left the door open) and HUNDREDS of huge red fire ants. We spent 3 hours killing them just to be able to get a couple hours of rest but we were so uncomfortable- they were crawling over our heads and all. In the morning, we told the hosts about the bugs and their response was that it was part of nature. Bugs yea, but hundreds of fire ants inside no. Although we paid for 3 nights, we checked out the next day and the hosts didn’t offer any condolences for the inconvenience or any refund. Would not recommend

We had an AMAZING time at this beautiful property, we really wish we stayed more than one night! The hosts were so lovely and kind. The breakfast they made us was also delicious. I can’t describe how beautiful the views from the pool were. If you love birds and wildlife, this is the place for you.

A very pleasant stay. A bit out of the way, but I suppose that is part of it's charm. A nice pool and relaxing environment. Breakfast was good, but not a lot of choice. Don't go there expecting a beach vacation as it is a 45 minute drive to the nearest beach. Road to the property is pretty rough, but that's typical of off the beaten path properties. The bungalows were very clean and comfortable. Owners were Francophones and communicating was occasionally a bit of a challenge. Unlike all the other places we stayed, check out is 10 am.

This is a beautiful property. Accommodation suitable for couples but maybe not so much for people sharing due to the open room concept and bathroom not being separated. They serve a nice breakfast.

Gorgeous property. Beyond meticulous attention to detail in the cabins and the landscaping. Perfect for a couples getaway driving from Nosara to Tamarindo. Owners were so friendly and welcoming, breakfast delicious - we felt right at home! Thanks for the tranquil stay!

We enjoyed the Baliyana Lodge very much. The owners were very friendly and pleasant people and they put their personal touch into making our stay a wonderful experience. The breakfasts were amazing. The cabin was private and beautiful and we slept well in a comfortable bed. The infinity pool overlooking the mountain forest was breathtaking. Amazing wildlife all around in this peaceful setting. The drive was its own experience as the roads were heavily damaged by the rains, but the Baliyana Lodge was well worth it. Highly recommend - a perfect 10 experience!

Wonderful people own the property. A great Breakfast is cooked every morning. The pool, grounds and area around the property are beautiful. Clean rooms, hot water and excellent service. Be careful what car you use as the dirt roads leading to the property get a bit rough. Otherwise there is not negative thing I could say. I will definitely be returning to these gorgeous cabins soon! Baliyana is beautiful

Second time staying here, wonderful owners, the grounds you will see are a labour of love an are meticulously kept, the cabins are gorgeous and very comfortable. Beautiful place

Such a beautiful place to stay, it’s located in the middle of the forest and very close to the beach. The owners are a French couple and they are very kind and friendly. We went to Pinilla for a trail race and we needed to have the breakfast earlier and they were so kind to prepare it on time for us. The bedroom is so comfy and clean. The pool has a beautiful view.

Really enjoyed my stay. The large bungalow is very cute and nicely finished. They have tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was excellent. I loved the negative edge pool with views of the jungle. The owner was very nice. I also loved how quiet, private and safe it was.

Our stay at Baliyana

This place was the best part of our trip, the grounds are pristine and spotless, the accommodations are fantastic and incredibly comfortable, the owners are incredible and friendly. You’re only a short drive of 10 min or so from the best beach in Costa Rica. Baliyana is a 15 outa 10! When you arrive you feel as though your arriving at a high end retreat, it is a simply stunning place that my wife an I cannot say enough great things about how wonderful a stay it was. The only thing not offered as part of the accommodation is a TV… and too be honest after our stay was over, we did not miss it at all, we we’re actually glad by the end of the stay that we didn’t waste one second our days exploring the area and enjoying the property
