"The owner is very kind and helpful and has a lot of recommendations for the area. The rooms are VERY spacious and the washrooms are clean. There’s a little kitchenette you can use and a fridge. Theres tons of restaurants, stores and markets nearby. Walking distance from the MRT which is perfect. One of the most welcoming hostels I’ve been in a while."

"Golden Tulip FAB is a nice luxury hotel at Tamsui. It has a nice view of a mountain and a river. The restaurant at the hotel is good. There are many nice restaurant near this hotel. It would be nicer if hotel stuff is more friendly."

"Excellent front room comfortable & spacious with the river view over the wetlands & mountain at sunset outstanding. Good Chinese smorgsborg breakfast. Six minute walk to MTR, south to Taipei, north to Tamsui for food, ferry, tourist shops, old streets, Red & Hobe Fort. We have used this hotel as a base to explore food, hiking, cycling but it is such good value it can be difficult to book as lots of locals use it. "

"附近非常熱鬧，惟停車部分需要另找停車場，環境算整潔，冷氣為大金、馬桶也是toto免治，可以感覺出來民宿老闆的用心。此民宿較適合揹包客青年，上下樓梯沒有扶手，尚需小心行走。"

"This is the third time i stay here. First time was in 2019, stayed for a couple of weeks. Fast forward to this year, front desk lady Carrie still recognized me! Staff here all speak very good English. Lobby and common area always kept clean. Beds are comfortable and firm. "

"The self-check-in process was easy. Hotel staff was very helpful. I booked the room with river-view. The room was small, but very clean and comfy. Great value for the price I paid. The hotel is located right across the street from Tam-shuei MRT station, close to many attractions and shops. Lots of dinning options. Would stay here again when I visit Tam-shuei next time."

"Really convenient location: Yanmingsan busstop right outside the hotel door, and the MRT station 5 min walk away. ☺️The buffet breakfast was divine, must have it again. "

I also recommend more than a night's stay, so you can try the different breakfast styles, restaurants, or take the shuttle into xinbeitou to experience local Taiwanese markets.
