「Just as we remember it but under new ownership. I missed the personalization of the founder Valerie Pickles. She would stop by at breakfast and greet the visitors. I heard the new owner wasn’t feeling well so we didn’t get to meet her. The wonderful included breakfast did not include the signature pickle on the Ham, cheese and egg burrito. 「The staff is amazing…all local Mayans from Tekit. The pool, grounds, architecture and design, lighting and jungle-manicured landscaping was carefully designed by professionals. They have cenotes and ancient caves on their vast property…so lots to explore. Their food was outstanding as well. I would say the only downside for us was they were reroofing the area above the restaurant above the pool area and the smell was so overwhelming, we could not enjoy the pool at all.」
