"The area was safe, well lit and had 24 hour security. Seems it’s being renovated. Part of our room was and part wasn’t. It had no chair and table to sit and relax while eating, only office chair and desk for computer. Had no hair dryer or ironing board. Had coffee and maker but no cups for coffee. No sugars or creamers for coffee. Had no ice bucket with cups available. No tissues. Only 1 roll of toilet paper for two queen beds room. Only had 1 set of towels for 1 person to shower. We had 2 people. Only had one tiny trash can in the room, not one in bathroom. Had no ash trays for our smoking room. No hand soap or hand towel for the hand washing sink. Had a live cockroach on the floor. Very noisy at night for sleeping. You have to pay $60 deposit on site at check in. Then it’s not refunded at checkout. You have to wait 24/48 hours for refunded. They do not just hold credit card it’s charged.breakfast was ok not really good. Beds were clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was excellent. Never seen staff except at check in and check out and when we had to ask for more bathroom towels because there was only enough for 1?person in a 4 person room, when we had to ask for toilet paper because only 1 rolll in room. Staff seen was ok but not great. Floor had dirty spots and so did bathroom trim and door. Refrigerator wasn’t very clean or cold. Microwave was ok. Shower was just ok not great. Pool was clean and nice. Overall I would not stay again here even with the price."

"Our room was nicely updated and clean. Our check in staff was unfriendly and didn’t seem very interested in helping us. We arrived 25 minutes early and she thought the world was ending. We offered to take a walk and come back. She decided to check if a room was available and yes there one ready. Wow that was hard…..Annoying and rude!"

"I normally do not write bad reviews but BEWARE of this TRU. Not in the best area and you could tell that this property has not been maintained very well. We stay at TRU quite often but this one was by far the worst experience we have had. Walking into the room it had a musty smell and was not clean at all. The floor around the AC was buckled and The AC WAS very loud when it cut on so loud it would wake you up at night. The TV remote was missing so I had to get one from the front desk. When taking a shower that night we had just enough soap for that night and no shampoo. Thank goodness I had packed some just in case. Not to mention 2 half rolls of toilet paper with no extra so we ran out. Keep in mind we are 2 day guests and TRU has an every other day room service so that was not an ideal situation. I don’t feel like I should have to ask for these items to be restocked for a 2 day stay. I know no fault in the hotel but there was some event in town and the other guest were very loud, up all night banging and up super early. We had the room next to the stairs so slamming doors along with the load AC made for miserable nights sleep. Over all just not a good experience, I definitely will think twice before I stay at another TRU by Hilton again."

"The lady at the front desk was super friendly which was the highlight of the experience. We stayed in a non-smoking room; however , were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke as soon as we opened the door. There were also small roaches in the kitchenette area and the toilet did not work properly. The beds were super thin and you could feel the springs in the mattress but the sheets were clean so that was a plus. I mean for what we paid I expected it but was hoping it would exceed our expectations but unfortunately it was not somewhere I’d want to stay again. It was very much a you get what you pay for type of stay."
