  • The Rio Grande River winds 12 miles down Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park, Texas. When the water is high you can come down the 1,500 foot walled canyon. With less water flowing, guides take you 3 to 4 miles up the canyon with some spots having to portage. But take it all in stride because the views are breathtaking. I recommend Big Bend River Tours. You might get lucky and have the guides that take you a half mile up a side canyon. An excellent day excursion in the out of the way national park.

Highly recommend this place

I highly recommend this place. Super clean, with all essentials provided for a home away from home. Beds incl the sofa bed was very comfortable. Location was perfect! Quick 30 mins drive to the park. Cannot think of any negative about the place. Host was quick to respond to your queries.

Very Nice property with well planned A frames! Quality of furniture, kitchen appliances, utensils, supplies all top notch what you would find in a 5 star hotel. Super clean in the middle of Terlingua. Even firewood and supplies for firepit were supplied. Has very nice outside furniture as well. Designed for spectacular views of the night sky. Thank you!
